Exam weeks are coming up 📚 📝 For some of us is that time again for the coffee-fueled 2 AM study crunch and 1 million tabs opened 😵☕

And we might be doing it all alone 😞 Its pretty easy to feel lonely at times like these...

But what exactly is loneliness? 💭

Is being lonely the same as being alone? Is it wrong to feel that way? And what does God have to say about it in Scripture 📖

Come join us as we think through Loneliness and Friendships 🫂 with a talk to help us understand what we’ve experienced and respond to them from a biblical perspective.

But what are we really searching for when we choose to leave? Is it truly worth it? And what does God have to say about it all?

Next week, we’ll be thinking through these questions together from the Scriptures 📖with a talk by Ps. Jerome, our RUF Executive Director who studied in America 🇺🇸

WEEK 11 IS HERE 😵‍💫
Which means… exam season is coming in HOT 🔥

Assignments, revision, deadlines, caffeine ☕ — all of us are trying to make the best use of our time and to make this semester count. 
But in the middle of all the pressure, how should we actually think about our exams? 🤔

Do we just lock ourselves in and grind nonstop? 📝
Or do we just let the anxiety kick in and just pray for all of this to be over? 🙏

This Wednesday at MCF, we’ll be having a special talk by our beloved club advisor and the Associate Professor of the School of Engineering 👨‍🏫

Come join us as we look at a different perspective on exams, pressure, and even life itself 🌱

MCF wishes everyone a Happy Teacher’s Day!
 
As students on campus, we taste the good fruits of all the teachers in our lives:
 
To the educators and lecturers in Monash, we feel heartfelt gratitude for the countless nights grading our assignments, preparing teaching materials, showing us a life of educating and equipping students for the working life.
 
For all the word teachers we deeply love, thank you for feeding us with the words of life grows us into Christian maturity. Thank you for exemplifying in our lives a Christian whose soul is consumed with longing for God’s word (Psalm 119:20).
 
So on this day, we thank God for the teachers he provides in shaping us to be Christian students on campus who live uni life for Jesus at all costs.

"Reading the bible is SO HARD 😭 harder then the assignment guidelines in Monash..."

As Monash students, we often don't have time, energy, and brainpower to read and understand God's word 😖 so we rely on pastors, friends, or songs instead. But is the bible unclear? Can't we understand God directly from his word?

God didn’t give us His Word to confuse us—He speaks so He can be known 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Yes, it takes effort, but Scripture CAN be understood. 😌

So let’s not settle for less, but stay hungry for the word and open the bible for ourselves 📖✨

If Jesus really rose from the dead… how does that change anything?
Our lives right now? Even what’s already happened?

In Acts 2 📖, Peter declares: Jesus didn’t stay dead. He rose.

Sem break is around the corner, and we’re probably already in the sem break mood 😌

Here’s what’s going down:
Day 1 — we split into groups:
💗 Girls: baking, chilling, good vibes only
💪 Guys: sports and hikes, getting those gains together
 
Day 2 — we come back together for:
😏 Real talk about BGR
🏊‍♂️ Pool games + hangout time

What’s so good about Good Friday?

The greatest exchange happened on this day, where innocent Jesus bore our curses that we should bear to satisfy God’s wrath towards humanity.

We were once undeniably sinful in God’s eyes—hopeless. Our only way was to continue in eternal self-destruction.

Thankfully because of Good Friday, the cross is not just a symbol, a sentiment or an injustice. Christ has triumphed over death and redeemed His people for Himself, the righteous for the unrighteous! So, let us look to this faithful God, and live out the new life he has given us.

MCF wishes you a blessed Good Friday ✝️
