In Preparation for the 60th Parish Feast Day Celebration of Our Lady Queen of Peace (OLQP), Simanggang.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

As we joyfully prepare to celebrate the 60th Parish Feast Day of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Simanggang on 22 August 2026, all parishioners and faithful are warmly invited to participate in the 9-Day Novena of the Queenship of Mary.

Marilah kita bersama-sama menyertai Novena Ratu Maria sebagai persediaan rohani untuk menyambut Hari Besar Paroki. Through prayer, reflection, and fellowship, let us thank God for His abundant blessings upon our parish throughout the past 60 years.

May Our Blessed Mother Mary guide us closer to her Son and strengthen our faith as one parish family.

🎉 Parish Sale 2026: A Wonderful Day of Fellowship and Giving 🎉

On 8 August 2026 (Saturday), the OLQP Catholic Centre compound came alive with joy, fellowship, and generosity during the Parish Sale 2026. From 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM, parishioners, families, friends, and supporters gathered together to make this fundraising event a great success.

The Parish Sale was more than just a fundraising activity. It was a beautiful expression of community spirit, where everyone came together with one common purpose: to support the mission and ongoing development of the Church. A wide variety of food, drinks, and sale items were offered throughout the day, attracting many visitors and creating a vibrant atmosphere at the OLQP Catholic Church compound.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Kuching Team, whose members have consistently shown unwavering support for our parish mission. Their generous contributions and continuous commitment played a significant role in the success of this event. As always, the team fully donated the proceeds from their sales in support of the Church's mission and ministries.

Special appreciation is also extended to St. Cecilia Convent (SSFS) for their generous support and active participation in helping to raise funds for the Church. Their dedication, generosity, and willingness to serve are truly appreciated and reflect the spirit of unity and collaboration within our faith community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to all volunteers, donors, sponsors, parishioners, and visitors who contributed in one way or another. Your time, effort, and generosity made Parish Sale 2026 a meaningful and successful fundraising event.

Together, we continue to build a stronger faith community and support the mission of the Church through service, fellowship, and generosity.

✨ SETIA SEHINGGA AKHIR ✨
Belia PYM Sri Aman Menyahut Panggilan Pelayanan di Gunung Singai

Pada 1 hingga 2 Ogos 2026, seramai 19 belia daripada Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) Sri Aman, yang terdiri daripada komuniti Holy Family Church (Betong) dan Our Lady Queen of Peace Church (Simanggang), telah menyertai Retreat Servants & Music Ministry 2026 di Catholic Memorial & Pilgrimage Centre (CMPC), Gunung Singai.

Dengan tema "Setia Sehingga Akhir", retreat yang dikendalikan oleh Rev. Fr. Henry Jimbey telah memberikan pengalaman yang unik dan penuh makna kepada semua peserta. Tiada tentatif yang terperinci, tiada arahan yang jelas, namun melalui pendekatan ini para peserta diajak untuk belajar mengambil inisiatif, memikul tanggungjawab dan melayani dengan rela hati.

Sepanjang retreat, para peserta diajak untuk merenungkan beberapa persoalan penting:

🙏 Mengapa saya masih berada dalam Gereja Katolik?

🙏 Mengapa saya masih melayani?

Persoalan ini membantu setiap peserta menilai semula tujuan dan motivasi mereka dalam pelayanan agar sentiasa berpusat kepada Kristus.

Selain sesi perkongsian dan refleksi iman, para peserta turut mengambil bahagian dalam pelbagai permainan serta aktiviti berkumpulan yang menguji pengetahuan tentang Alkitab, kehidupan gereja dan cabaran pelayanan pada masa kini. Aktiviti-aktiviti ini bukan sahaja mengeratkan persaudaraan, malah memperkukuhkan semangat kerjasama dan kepimpinan dalam kalangan belia.

Antara pengajaran yang paling menyentuh hati ialah refleksi tentang Yesus yang membasuh kaki murid-murid-Nya. Melalui tindakan mengikat kain pada pinggang-Nya, Yesus menunjukkan bahawa pemimpin sejati adalah mereka yang sanggup merendahkan diri dan melayani orang lain dengan kasih.

💬 "Jika jalan kita adalah betul, maka berkat kita tetap sentiasa ada."

💬 "Yesus adalah tunjang kita di dalam Gereja."

Semoga semangat yang diperoleh sepanjang retreat ini terus membimbing setiap peserta untuk hidup sebagai pelayan yang setia, rendah hati dan sentiasa bersedia menjawab panggilan Tuhan.

🙏 Misa Harian dan Jam Kudus (Holy Hour)

30 Julai 2026

Pada Khamis, 30 Julai 2026, umat telah berkumpul untuk menghadiri Misa Harian yang diadakan pada jam 6.30 petang. Selepas misa, program diteruskan dengan Jam Kudus (Holy Hour) pada jam 7.30 malam yang telah dipimpin oleh Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM) dengan tema “I Want to Know Jesus”.

Melalui sesi adorasi, doa dan refleksi, para hadirin telah diberi kesempatan untuk meluangkan masa di hadapan Sakramen Mahakudus serta memperdalam hubungan peribadi dengan Yesus Kristus. Tema yang diketengahkan mengajak umat untuk semakin mengenali Yesus, mendekati-Nya dengan hati yang terbuka, dan memperkukuhkan iman dalam kehidupan seharian.

Program ini telah berlangsung dalam suasana yang penuh khusyuk dan damai, memberikan pengalaman rohani yang bermakna kepada semua yang hadir. Diharapkan agar benih-benih iman yang disemai melalui Jam Kudus ini akan terus bertumbuh dan menghasilkan buah yang baik dalam kehidupan setiap peserta.
