Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math was started in Sitiawan, Perak in 1983, where it was known by the name The Temple of Sriman Mahaprabhu. The main temple is in Nabadwip Dham, West Bengal, just over 100km north of Kolkata, India and is known as Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. Sri Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj. Srila Sridhar Maharaj also known as Srila Guru Maharaj, a pure devotee of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (Lord Sri Krishna’s incarnation of mercy for the fallen souls in this world). In 1985 Srila Sridhar Maharaj appointed His Divine Grace Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa Jagat Guru Sri Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj as the President Sevaite Acharya before his depature from this world. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu inundated the world with the most merciful gift, the chanting of the maha-mantra; HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE. This maha-mantra, has since saved million of souls around the world from illusion. At present our Sucessor President Sevaite Acharya is His Divine Grace Grace Om Vishnupad Paramahamsa Jagat Guru Sri Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj. Srila Acharyadev, Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj has been serving the mission since 1992, and despite being both a qualified lawyer and teacher, he laid his head with firm faith and conviction at the lotus feet of Srila Govinda Maharaj. Srila Acharya Maharaj continues to give great nourishment to the worldwide followers of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and its mission worldwide. In Malaysia we have many initiated devotees as well as A Sanyasi, His Holiness Sripad Bhakti Rasi Sanyas Maharaj. We have two other centers: in Bukit Beruntung and Petaling Jaya. Their Lordships Sri Jagannath Baladeva and Subhadra Maya preside in these two centers. Our main purpose is to share the wonderful gift of Love with other fallen souls like ourselves, as propogated by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and our dear Srila Gurudevas. The final aim of life is Love of God and through service to Sri Guru and Lord Sri Krishna this Love is again evoked. We conduct regular worship, kirttan (bhajan), reading from the Holy Srimad Bhagavad Gita and other Scriptures as well as spiritual activities to help the general public to know about the mercy of Lord Sri Krishna, while everyone wants to be materially successful in this world. But we need to prepare ourselves and loved ones for a place in the real, permanent, joyful world, with God.
