So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
Luke 5:7 NKJV

At the word, Peter received from Jesus to launch out resulting not only his boat being filled with fish but his neighbours as well. It was filled to overflow.

The abundance of God began to fill their boat when Peter acknowledged the word Jesus spoke. The word Jesus spoke may seem to be in a wrong timing, wrong place or to a wrong person.

Peter, a fisherman knows about fishing and does not really need any advise from Jesus. But Peter gave up his experience, his dignity to trust Christ's word.

How are we acknowledging the word of God in our lives? Are we shaping our direction by the word we have received or are we giving lips service to the word of God?

Saying that was good, great or an awesome word of God does nothing to a person until the person who heard starts to direct their lives according to the word of God.

Jesus said that those who do the word is like a man who builds his house on the rock. Where the person actually enjoys the fruits of that word.

Many believe, many confess but very few who actually put it into practice. The abundance is always there in the word and those who follow through will enjoy in the end.

God has designed our lives to be a blessing to all, to be an overflowing abundance of God to the world. The only way for that to manifest is when we start to actively participate in living the word of God.

Let us give our commitment, our attention and our time in building our lives according to the word of Christ.

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
John 17:16 NKJV

In this prayer, Jesus is conversed with His Father regards to us. In His conversation, Jesus said that we are not of the world just as He is not of the world.

In these prayers, Jesus had with His Father we can see clearly that our origin is not earthly but from God Himself.

From a seed of a man to be born again to a seed of God. From natural abilities to supernatural abilities, from the natural resources to supernatural resources and from a natural kingdom to a supernatural kingdom of God.

We in Christ have a different lifestyle, carry an identity that reflects Jesus Christ and His power to be seen in our lives.

We are not supposed to respond to our circumstances just like everyone in the world. We respond with the authority and power of Jesus.

As Christ responded to all of His challenges, we too need to respond to our challenges in the likeness of Christ, exercising God's power and authority.

We are not just a man or only human. We should stop all our excuses just like every other people who do not know Jesus.

We should be examples in this world to help people see the truth, the way and the life which is Christ our Lord.

We have to start reminding ourselves that we are a citizen of heaven, here on earth with an assignment to transform earth according to God's plan.

Let us live out our true life in Christ and glorify Him in everything we do.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
John 14:10 NKJV

Jesus answered Phillip do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? Philip could not see or understand beyond the natural.

After Jesus spoke plainly that the Father is in Him, they still could not understand. This is also because they have not been born again to see from a kingdom's perspective.

Here Jesus is revealing that the Father and Him cannot be separated because they are one. This is a powerful picture for us to see. Because as Jesus is, so are we in this world.

Therefore, when we confess Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we become one with Him in the spirit. We too cannot be separated for God never leaves nor forsakes us.

Now the works that Jesus did here on earth is the work the Father had done. As Jesus saw the Father did, Jesus established that which His Father had already done.

Jesus said the Father who dwells in Me does the work. How did the Father did the work? He did it when Christ Jesus did it.

Therefore, the one who worked it out on earth is not the Father on His own but the Father through the Son.

Today, we as a believer are in the same way working it out the way Jesus had already done.

We are to work out all that Christ has established for us, for the entire body and the entire world.

Waiting for God to do is a wrong concept, it is a concept from religion. Jesus on the other hand empowered His church, His body with His own authority and His own power to establish here on earth as it is in heaven.

As mature children of God, let us start implementing all that Jesus has established in our lives and build His kingdom here on earth.

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?
Luke 13:2 NKJV

Many believed in those days that if people were punished harshly, it meant they were very sinful. But Jesus told the truth that no one is any better than another.

Jesus taught plainly that no matter how good or how bad people lived their lives, none of those things matter except that they all repent.

We are not called to see who is a sinner and who is holy. Instead, we are called to help everyone to turn to Christ so that all can be saved from satan's plans.

Therefore, as believers who have been forgiven, restored, and blessed in Christ, we are to encourage as many as we can to know Jesus and His salvation plans for their lives.

Just like Jesus, He did not come to condemn the world, but through Him the world would be saved.

We too should have the same mind and heart that every believer will use their life as an instrument to give life.

May the life of God flow through our lives, our conversations, and our actions so that people are not condemned but encouraged to live.

Let us build an atmosphere of life, hope, love and peace so that everyone can have a new beginning in the abundance of God's grace.

Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.
Mark 2:3 NKJV

A remarkable story of the faith of these 4 men who not only carried a paralytic man but made their way through every barrier that was standing in their way.

Jesus saw their faith and said to the paralytic man that his sins had been forgiven. Then later told the paralytic man to take up his bed and go home.

This amazing miracle of the paralytic man's sin being forgiven and healed was mixed with the anger of the religious leaders questioning the work of Christ, because no sin can be forgiven without a sacrificial offering according to the law.

Sometimes we miss the dedication of these 4 men and their faith. Every friend would love to have friends like that.
Ministers of the gospel would love to be surrounded by such men or women, for they go the extra mile for you and do things that enhance the vision and mission to be accomplished.

As much as we all want this type of friend through Christ, we should be that kind of person for one another. We all look after the well-being of one another in truth.

We have been empowered to go the extra mile, crowned with God's wisdom to help navigate lives through their storms and speak the plans of God for their life.

When we pour out to people so that they can be better, others will also be pouring out to us. It is a law of God that never fails.

Let us be like one of the 4 people who encourage, carry, and empower others to fulfill the call of God.

that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
Matthew 6:4 NKJV

What Jesus tried to address here is not about people knowing what we have done, because the people we help is going to know, their family is going to know and it is a great opportunity to display the LOVE OF GOD.

What Jesus is trying to highlight here is the very thing the Scribes and the Pharisees were doing. Everything they do is to puff themselves up that they have done these amazing things.

Jesus is teaching us to be God-centred in everything we do. To ultimately give God all the glory because all things come from Him.

Today many organisations help to feed the hungry and clothe those who are in need. To let people know about the needs is not wrong but taking the credit for it is absolutely wrong.

When we share the needs and the work that God has shown us to be a part of, we can let others know so thay can have the opportunity to be an instrument of God for that need.

Every time we remind people of what we have done for them, or the contribution we have made is a clear indication that we still hold ourselves as the provider and not God.

Many also in the body of Christ may use this passage of scriptures to cover themselves of their lack of participation in the kingdom of God.

Everyone have their own choices to make, to serve, to give and to be what Christ has empowered us to do.

Let us do it unto the Lord, whether it is a community work, individual help or to our own family members.

We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
1 John 5:18 NKJV

John shares here that whoever is born of God does not sin. That is not what the majority of born-again believers have experienced.

This is because we do not really know fully what we have received from our Lord Jesus. When our knowledge of what we have from God is limited, it limits us from living to our full capacity.

Born-again children of God are blessed with God-consciousness, which when cultivated brings about a sinless life.

We have the life of Christ in us. Since Christ lived a sinless life, so can we by living conscious of Him. Christ has given us the power to overcome every sin.

The important part is that we who are born again have to keep ourselves in Christ; therefore, every plan and plot of the enemy will not take effect on our lives.

We need to remain in Christ and have our being in Him. This is our protection from the evil one. The provision of protection is in Christ.

We have a responsibility to keep our mind and heart on the things of God. God has made those provisions for us in Christ, and to be in Him is to have everything He had when He walked the earth.

The wicked one simply cannot touch us because we have no open doors for the enemy to come in through sin. We keep ourselves from sin.

Living a victorious life in Christ means a lot of things, which includes living without sin.

Let us see ourselves as Christ has made us to be, living victoriously every day as we know our rights as children of God.

“in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The body of Christ, which is all the believers, is called to represent Christ in every aspect of our lives.

Our lives need to reflect a good standing with Christ, in words and deeds.

As believers, we need to stand strong in the teachings of Christ and build ourselves up on the finished work of Christ.

Why? Because we are no longer living just for ourselves but we have become the ambassadors of God's Kingdom for others to follow.

Let our life reflect the Kingdom of God and His supernatural power so that many will come to know Him.

Let us guard ourselves from the ways of the world and keep ourselves focused on Christ alone.

These qualities are not only for the leaders to have but for all who would believe in Christ Jesus.

It is important that each one of us get ourselves rooted and grounded in Christ.

Building ourselves up in the Lord and praying in the Holy Spirit will help us to stay alive in Him.

Let us continue to know Jesus and continue to live in His glory and love.

Blessings

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:12 NKJV

Eternal life was made available through a person who obtained it, and that person is Jesus Christ. No mortal being can obtain eternal life, no matter how holy they may have lived their life.

This is because the seed of every mankind have already been contaminated with sin. A contaminated life with sin cannot pay for sin.

This is why God himself waited for the right woman to say yes to the seed from God to be brought into the world.

Mary said, "Yes, Lord, let it be done to me according to Your Word." Jesus is the manifested seed which is from God our Father in Heaven.

This is the reason life cannot be found by any prophets, not by a good man, but only through the One who has come down from heaven and took the form of the flesh.

Jesus is not just the Giver of eternal life; He is eternal life; therefore, to have Jesus in our lives is to have eternal life.

Rejecting Jesus is rejecting eternal life. This is not a personal opinion but the truth that is revealed through the scriptures.

Pointing to that one person, Jesus Christ, from Genesis right through Revelation, as the only Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Therefore, it silenced every objection to Jesus Christ because there is absolutely no other except One, Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God.

We can start enjoying eternal life the moment we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. When we take on His life, we have received eternal life.

This means we are eternally redeemed, eternally healed, eternally blessed and eternally saved to bring glory to His Name.

Let us continue to live in the life Christ has granted to all mankind and change everything in His mighty Name.

Ps Ambrose

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
II John 1:7 NKJV

The author writes to teach us that there are many deceivers who do not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and that disqualifies Jesus from being the perfect sacrifice for all flesh.

The highlight in this passage is about satan's main objective to deceive the people from the truth.

This is the reason it is very important for believers to KNOW THE TRUTH. When we know the truth, we can avoid deception.

The fact that satan uses deception is because satan has no power on his own to attack believers. The only power satan uses is the power satan got by deceiving believers with his lies.

When believers don't know what they have in Christ, they don't know their rights as children of God, and if they don't stand strong in what Christ has done, then satan can deceive them.

Many believers even blame God for something that happened because of a lack of knowledge. This is how satan brings deception, so there is division in our relationship with God.

Therefore, the believer's first investment is to know God, build our lives according to our spiritual identity, understand our rights as children of God, and know what we have RECEIVED from Christ.

When we build our lives in Christ, which is building our lives in truth, all lies will be exposed, and all the traps of the enemy will be clear and easily avoided.

It is important we pull ourselves up together in Christ, setting our entire being to follow after Christ and see everything from Christ's perspective.

Let us keep growing in our relationship with God our Father, Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
