BMSM - Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia

BMSM - Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia (BMSM) is a Buddhist organization set-up to propagate the message of the Buddha to the masses. In 1961, Venerable K.

Sri Dhammananda foresee the need to establish an organization to propagate the message of the Buddha to the masses. Backed by a group of fervent Buddhists, the Buddhist Missionary Society was consequently registered on 3 April 1962 entrusted to spread the dhamma. Among others, the objectives of BMSM are to propagate and promote the teaching of the Buddha; to print Buddhist literatures and organize

religious lectures; to render spiritual assistance and acquire immovable property for the use of the Society for achieving its aims and objectives. In 1996, following an amendment to its Constitution, the Society adopted its new name of “Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia” (BMSM), thus joining the ranks of national Buddhist organizations. To date BMSM has more than 10,000 members throughout the country compared to 27 members when it first started. Location map: http://bmsm.org.my/contact-us/map-to-samadhi-vihara/

It makes me read with joy that there is a YB with such good understanding of the Buddha's Dhamma. Read what he said in his speech, which is based on his experience and definitely not drafted by a speech writer.

President Loh Pai Ling wishes all Dhamma brothers and sisters “Happy Wesak” with a gentle reminder of the BMSM Wesak Theme: Touching Lives.Awakening Minds

Let us gently live it—in our centres, in our conversations, in the small, steady ways we show up for one another. Each of us try one small act that touches a life. Each of us put in the effort to awaken one mind—starting with our own.

Let us not let this theme become an empty slogan. Instead, let it become our quiet compass.

💫Wesak Message from Bhante Mahinda💫

Read on and be guided by Bhante Mahinda on how the three important events in the life of the Buddha are significant in our lives.

Gems he imparts upon us include:
"We need to commit ourselves to the Dhamma to bring about real transformation in our lives. It is through positive transformation that the seeds of enlightenment will be sown in our hearts."

Happy Wesak! 🙏May the Dhamma unfold Touching Lives and Awakening Minds 🙏
