Closing Date for EOI applications of Solar PV [Individual] has been extended (1) one week to 5.00 p.m. on 15th January (Friday)

Due to overwhelming requests from the public, SEDA Malaysia wishes to announce that the Closing Date for Expression of Interest (EOI) applications of Solar PV [Individual] via the e-FiT online system has been extended (1) one week to 5.00 p.m. on 15th January 2016 (Friday). All EOI applications must be submitted and payment of processing fee must be made via credit card not later than 5.00 p.m. on 15th January 2016 (Friday).
Thereafter, SEDA will carry out a screening process on all submitted and paid EOI applications to qualify applicants that meet SEDA’s requirements. In the event that the volume of qualified EOI applications exceeds the amount of quota allocated, all qualified EOI applications will be assigned a Queue No. by an online e-balloting system. The e-balloting process will be conducted on 26th January 2016 in an event open to the public. Quota will then be allocated to qualified EOI applications based on the Queue No. until all quota is taken up.
Applicants are reminded to comply with all the rules and regulations as prescribed under the Renewable Energy Act 2011, its applicable subsidiary legislations and the Step by Step Guide for 2016 Solar PV [Individual] Application .
All Solar PV FiA applicants are also reminded that as prescribed under Section 17 of the RE Act 2011, the feed-in tariff shall be subjected to a degression rate commencing on 1 January every year. This implies that projects approved under solar PV quota for 2015 must achieve FiTCD status by end of 2015. Failure to do so shall result in a degression to the feed-in tariff rate of between 10% - 20% (depending on the system size and bonuses).
