Holy Trinity Asia

Holy Trinity Asia We are a vibrant, orthodox Christian community in Setia Alam, rooted in the Bible and historic reformed Church tradition.

We gather weekly for Holy Communion, Bible Study and fellowship. We welcome all who are seeking to grow in faith. We are an orthodox, reformed Christian Church in Malaysia.

We are a discipleship-making ministry. In this era of modernity and consumerism, building profound relationships of discipleship is challenging. We avoid the trend of superficial following of Christ and instead focus on cultivating genuine disciples of Christ.

We are probably the only congregation in Malaysia using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." — Jeremiah 6:16

Many have forgotten what the beauty of traditional worship looks like. We have heard from Anglicans who no longer feel Anglican at all — their churches have quietly drifted into something else entirely. Baptiscostal. Charismatic-Baptist. A mixed identity that is hard to name, harder to be nourished by.
The Anglican tradition was never meant to be that. Its liturgy is ordered, its theology is precise, its worship is unhurried. The 1662 Book of Common Prayer has shaped faithful Christians for over three centuries — and it still can.

If you are looking for something solid and stable — if you are tired of the noise, the performance, and the endless reinvention of modern church — come and worship with us.

Have you been searching for a church in Malaysia that is connected to the early Church?

Many grew up in evangelical churches. But over time something started feeling thin. The worship felt more like a performance than a prayer. The theology felt shallower than the questions we actually carry.

Holy Trinity Asia is a liturgical Christian congregation in Setia Alam, Selangor. We worship with the Book of Common Prayer. We preach from Scripture. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. We say the ancient creeds of the Apostles' and Nicene Creed — the same words Christians have confessed for more than 1,700 years.

We are not Roman Catholic. We are not Eastern Orthodox. We are not the liberal kind of Christians. We are orthodox, Bible-believing Christians with deep roots in the apostolic tradition.

If you find yourself hungering for something older and deeper — you will find home with us.

The Church, since her early days, has held a special session for those who are unbaptized and seeking prayers for deliverance from the oppression of evil spirits. Those who are oppressed are known as energumens. Energumens are those who are not baptized but are individuals who are inquiring or still receiving instruction on how to become Christians while experiencing evil spiritual oppression. Often it affects their day-to-day life. They may experience depression, confusion, unexplained sickness, and/or even financial plunder.

This occurs during the Sunday liturgy, right after the sermon or homily. As the seeker and hearer receive the word of God, they must respond with faith. It is by their faith in Christ they will be delivered.

During the prayer, the energumens humbly come forward to the bishop or priest for the laying on of hands to receive the power of God to expel evil. At times, individuals may require multiple prayers, or the clergy may provide them with blessed holy salt to drive away evil spirits and demons.

The Western Church has not practiced this during the holy liturgy for a long time, as most of the Western continent has been Christianized. Most attendees in the Church were baptized as infants. Those who are baptized seldom seek such prayers, as they are regarded as members of Christ and will receive holy protection from God as long as they remain faithful, particularly by maintaining a consistent sacramental life. Unless they are apostates, in which case they will be subject to a different discipline.

We extend the Gospel to those who are seeking, including non-Orthodox Christians experiencing spiritual oppression. Come humbly with faith, believing that our Almighty God can deliver you from the dark forces that have been oppressing you or your family. We invite you to visit us on Sunday. Please speak to our priest if you are seeking prayers.

We have been told that we are the only orthodox Christian Church (not Eastern Orthodox) in Malaysia that emphasizes early Christian traditions.

We are orthodox Christians, not Roman Catholics. Rome is not the only catholic. It's a general knowledge, but not in this region.

📖 THE PROMISE OF GOD: Biblical Study of Covenantal Theology

📝 We live in a world filled with growing uncertainties and shifting realities. Many feel restless, skeptical, or afraid of making big commitments. Some assume that faith is just an emotional feeling or an empty ritual. But the ancients viewed faith anchored in something far more secure—something historical, testimonial, and deeper in bond.

This seminar introduces the 3,500-year history of Covenantal Theology in the Bible. It helps us understand how people experienced the promise of God’s timeless blessing and security that is still applicable today.

Our speaker is Rev. Canon Ambrose Looi. He holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and a Bachelor of Psychology. He is a certified HRD Corp trainer and a professional life coach. He currently serves as the pastor of Holy Trinity Asia.
