Let us gather for the Ash Wednesday Service tomorrow at 8 p.m. in GSLC PJ.

The purpose is for the church to come together with a repentant heart - to confess our sins, repent, and seek the Lord to give us a new beginning.

The liturgy tomorrow contains a lot of congregational responses that give voice to our inner hurts, pain, shortcomings, etc.

Let us put the past behind us and run the race that is set ahead of us. We never know what the Lord has in store for us.

Let us believe and the Lord will help our unbelief.

We look forward to seeing you at the Ash Wednesday service tomorrow!

The LENTEN SEASON is a preparation for commemorating the DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS at Easter. From its start date on Ash Wednesday until Easter, Lent has been a customary time for fasting, giving something up, or abstinence. In short, it is meant to be A TIME OF REPENTANCE - a humble understanding of knowing that we are all born with sin and recognizing our brokenness as humans and the need for a Savior. The Lenten period allows us to reflect and open our hearts to Jesus.

Please find the Devotions Lent 2023 in the following link for use during your personal time of prayer and devotion: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19YYCd_IGGCRpv-sIi9s6wmRDS19IJ9LT/view?usp=sharing

Lenten Devotions were written by Dr. Kari Vo and brought to you in partnership with Lutheran Hour Ministries.

Our 2nd Service Worship will be held at 11am this Sunday (19/2/2023)!

We are blessed to have Pastor Damian to share his sermon on The Transfiguration of Our Lord taken from Matthew 17:1-9 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2017%3A1-9&version=NIV).

The Transfiguration of Jesus is an event where Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory. It is a powerful demonstration of His divine nature and manifestation of His glory, which He possessed prior to coming to earth in the human form.

We hope to see you at GSLC, PJ!

"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." - Luke 15:10

Knowing how much God rejoices over our salvation and seeing God's joy when sinners repent should be a constant encouragement to us and a motivation to our evangelistic efforts as we also share that joy.

Praise be to God!
