๐ A Heartfelt Note of Gratitude ๐
๐ 23 Aug 2026, Sunday
๐Pudu Kottu Malai Pillaiyar Vinayagar Temple Kumbabishegam
Hare Krishna ๐
With hearts filled with gratitude, humility and joy, we would like to sincerely thank each and every person, organisation, temple, association, devotee, volunteer and well-wisher who came together to make the Food for Life Seva at the Pudu Kottu Malai Pillaiyar Vinayagar Temple Kumbabishegam such a beautiful and memorable service.
By the mercy of the Lord and through the kindness of so many wonderful souls, we were blessed with the opportunity to serve nearly 13,000โ15,000 devotees with prasadam.
What may have appeared to be simply a meal being served was, in reality, the result of countless hours of planning, tireless work, coordination, sacrifice, generosity and seva by so many people, many of whom worked quietly behind the scenes.
We offer our deepest gratitude to the Devasthanam for giving us this wonderful opportunity and blessing us with the chance to serve the devotees on such an auspicious occasion. ๐
๐ธ Dato Jeeva โ The Pillar Behind the Logistics
Our heartfelt thanks to Dato Jeeva, who was among the very first people to step forward and help us.
From arranging the large cooking pots, vegetables and supplies, to negotiating prices and helping us source everything that was needed, Dato Jeeva was constantly working in the background to ensure that everything moved smoothly.
Many of the things people never saw were made possible because of his tireless efforts. His quiet, efficient and dependable support throughout the entire preparation was truly invaluable.
Dato Jeeva, thank you for being there from the very beginning and for making the impossible seem possible. ๐
๐ธ Seetharam Kumar Uncle โ The Man Who Made Sure Nothing Was Missed
Our deepest appreciation to Seetharam Kumar Uncle, who played such an important role in purchasing and arranging the ingredients needed for the cooking.
He was constantly looking out for what was missing, identifying shortcomings and immediately finding solutions. His attention to detail and willingness to personally oversee so many aspects of the seva gave us tremendous confidence.
Uncle, your presence was a source of strength, and your tireless efforts ensured that nothing important was overlooked. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ๐
๐ธ Dato Ganesan โ For Giving Us the Space to Serve
A very special thank you to Dato Ganesan, who generously gave us the parking area and told us to use whatever space we needed.
That space became the heart of our entire cooking operation.
Without the generosity of giving us that land and allowing us the freedom to utilise it for the seva, managing such a large-scale cooking operation would have been incredibly difficult.
Dato Ganesan, thank you for opening your doors and your space to us so generously. Your contribution became the foundation upon which so much of this seva was built. ๐
๐ธ Giri โ Casa Villa Hotel
Our sincere gratitude to Giri, owner of Casa Villa Hotel, who provided us with a tremendously important resource โ water.
The land had no water supply, yet we needed water constantly for cooking, cleaning, washing and every part of the operation.
Giri generously supplied water from his hotel and made sure that we had what we needed.
This was not merely a contribution โ it solved one of the biggest practical challenges we faced.
๐ธ The 84-Year-Old Uncle Shanmugam โ A Beautiful Example of Seva
We would also like to give a very special and heartfelt appreciation to Uncle Shanmugam, who, at the age of 84, personally helped us fix the water pipes and worked to make sure the water was flowing properly.
At an age when many would naturally be resting, he came forward and rendered practical service with his own hands.
Uncle Shanmugam, your seva touched us deeply. You showed us that true service has no age limit. Your willingness to help is something we will remember with great affection. ๐
๐ธ Ramasamy Chettiyar โ Making the Heavy Work Possible
Our heartfelt thanks to Ramasamy Chettiyar, who provided the manpower required for the heavy logistical work.
Moving the enormous cooking pots, arranging the electrical supply, shifting equipment and managing the many physical requirements of such a large-scale kitchen is no small task.
He was one of the key people who made it physically possible for the cooking operation to function.
Ramasamy Chettiyar, thank you for carrying the weight of the seva โ literally and figuratively. Your contribution was absolutely essential. ๐
๐ธ Citra's Cash & Carry โ Generosity Beyond Business
Our sincere gratitude to Citra's Cash & Carry, who supplied the groceries and ingredients we needed at an extremely affordable, almost cost-price rate.
And beyond that, they generously sponsored 100 kg of yoghurt completely free of charge, purely out of their own goodwill.
Such generosity makes a tremendous difference when preparing prasadam for thousands of devotees.
Thank you for choosing to support the seva with such a generous heart. Your contribution helped feed thousands. ๐
๐ธ Dato Kalai โ The Gift of Free Gas
A special thank you to Dato Kalai, who generously supplied the gas required for the cooking completely free of charge.
For a kitchen operating on such a large scale, gas is one of the most essential requirements.
Dato Kalai, thank you for ensuring that our fires could keep burning and that the prasadam could continue cooking without interruption. ๐
๐ธ Mr Balachandran โ Cooling Thousands of Hearts
Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Balachandran, who generously supplied watermelons free of charge for the prasadam.
His willingness to help extended beyond this contribution, and he was supportive in many different ways throughout the seva.
Mr Balachandran, thank you for your kindness, generosity and readiness to help whenever needed. ๐
๐ธ Chaitanya Hari โ For His Prayers and Bhoga Offering to deity
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chaitanya Hari for his sincere prayers and bhoga offering to deity during the entire cooking process. His spiritual support and prayers added a beautiful dimension to the seva and were deeply appreciated.
We sincerely apologise for accidentally missing your name in our earlier appreciation message. Please know that your contribution and prayers were very much valued and remembered. ๐โค๏ธ
๐ธ HG Simheshwara Prabhu โ Bringing the Books in Time
We sincerely thank HG Simheshwara Prabhu for helping us ensure that the books from Lancang Farm reached us as quickly as possible.
His prompt assistance allowed us to make the books available in time for the programme. He also gave valuable advice and ideas that helped us along the way.
Prabhu, thank you for making sure the service continued not only through prasadam, but also through the distribution of Krishna consciousness. ๐
๐ธ Lokhabandu Prabhu, Kripa Prabhu, Rasaparayan Prabhu & Sevanandha Prabhu
Our sincere gratitude to Lokhabandu Prabhu, Kripa Prabhu, Rasaparayan Prabhu and Sevanandha Prabhu, who came a day before the event and offered their valuable advice, guidance and assistance.
Sometimes, a few words of experience and guidance at the right moment can prevent countless problems later.
Thank you for giving your time, association and wisdom to the seva. ๐
๐บ A Very Special Thank You โ Parambhrama Prabhu
Before we speak about the organisations that supported us, we would like to make a very special mention of Parambhrama Prabhu.
Prabhu stood alongside us right until the very end of the programme.
Parambhrama Prabhu, your seva was not just about the hours you gave. It was about your willingness to keep going even when you were tired, and your commitment to stand beside us until the very last moment. You were the last person with me until 8 pm at night.
๐ธ OUR HEARTFELT GRATITUDE TO THE ORGANISATIONS
๐บ Hindu Dharma Mamandram
Our sincere thanks to Hindu Dharma Mamandram for sending volunteers to help with vegetable cutting and prasadam serving.
Your volunteers worked alongside us tirelessly and helped carry the workload of a massive operation.
๐บ Hindu Sangam
Our heartfelt thanks to Hindu Sangam for also sending volunteers who helped with vegetable preparation and serving prasadam.
Your support demonstrated beautifully how much can be achieved when organisations come together with one common purpose.
Thank you for being part of this seva. ๐
๐บ Sri Agathiar Sanmarka Gurukulam Malaysia
Our deepest appreciation to Sri Agathiar Sanmarka Gurukulam Malaysia for generously providing us with cooking pots, knives and other essential equipment โ completely free of charge.
Your generosity equipped our kitchen and made the cooking operation possible.
๐ THE HEART OF THE PRASADAM
๐ธ Navadip Mataji, Saranamukhi Mataji, Kokilambal Mataji & Koovin
And now, we come to the people who were truly at the heart of the delicious prasadam that was served.
Our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude goes to Navadip Mataji, together with her sisters Saranamukhi Mataji and Kokilambal Mataji, and her son Koovin.
The wonderful prasadam that reached thousands of devotees was a result of their tireless cooking, dedication, skill, patience and love.
Cooking for a family is one thing.
Cooking for nearly 13,000โ15,000 devotees is an entirely different level of service.
Yet they worked tirelessly, continuously and wholeheartedly to ensure that the prasadam was not only prepared, but prepared with love and care.
Navadip Mataji, Saranamukhi Mataji, Kokilambal Mataji and Koovin โ thank you for putting your hearts, hands and countless hours into every pot of prasadam. The taste of the prasadam was a reflection of your seva and dedication.
๐ธ Vathumalai Prabhu, Sangkara Prabhu, Sampath Prabhu & Anand Prabhu
A very special mention must be made of Vathumalai Prabhu, Sangkara Prabhu, Sampath Prabhu and Anand Prabhu, who were among the main pillars supporting the cooking operation.
From moving the enormous pots, assisting with cooking, setting up the gas for the various pots and pans, and helping wherever their hands were needed, they worked tirelessly throughout the process.
Our sincere thanks also go to Jayaram Prabhu's father and mother, who gave their time, energy and wholehearted assistance.
You were not simply volunteers โ you were pillars holding the kitchen together. Thank you for your tireless seva. ๐
๐ธ Padmanetra Prabhu โ Supporting the Seva from Every Direction
Our sincere gratitude to Padmanetra Prabhu for generously arranging the printing of pamphlets, banners and seva tags for free, including arranging sponsorship for them.
This may seem like a small part of the overall operation, but these materials were essential for presenting and organising the seva properly.
Prabhu, thank you for taking responsibility and making sure that even the smallest details were taken care of. ๐
๐ The Prasadam Serving Team
Our heartfelt thanks to Jayaram Prabhu, Prahlad Prabhu and Padmanetra Prabhu for taking charge of the prasadam serving operation and coordinating the entire serving process.
Serving thousands of devotees requires discipline, patience, coordination and tremendous stamina.
You ensured that the flow was organised and that devotees could receive prasadam smoothly.
Thank you for standing on the frontline of service and ensuring that the prasadam reached the devotees with care and dignity. ๐
๐ธ ISKCON Teluk Intan Boys
A very special thank you to the ISKCON Teluk Intan boys, who came forward and helped wholeheartedly with serving and managing the crowd.
Your youthful energy, enthusiasm and willingness to serve were truly inspiring.
๐ธ Jayaram Prabhu's Friends
We also extend our sincere thanks to all of Jayaram Prabhu's friends who came forward to help us.
We may not know everyone's names, but the Lord knows every single person who served.
Your contribution mattered.
๐ธ SJMKL
Our heartfelt appreciation to SJMKL for sending people to assist with vegetable cutting and for coming in groups to help with prasadam serving.
Your repeated support and willingness to come forward whenever help was needed was deeply appreciated.
Thank you for standing together with us in seva. ๐
๐ธ THE YOUTH
And to all the youths who came wholeheartedly โ thank you.
You brought energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to do whatever was needed, whether it was lifting, cutting, cleaning, serving, arranging or simply stepping in wherever there was a shortage of hands.
Your willingness to serve without asking, โWhat is my job?โ but instead asking, โWhat needs to be done?โ is the spirit of true seva.
We are immensely grateful to every one of you. โค๏ธ๐
๐ธ Those Who Worked Tirelessly in the Kitchen
We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to:
Rajanaidu, Sivanaidu Prabhu, Sudharma Prabhu, Kamlakashi Mataji, Prashant Prabhu and his friend, Jayaram Prabhu, Padmanetra Prabhu, Kannan Prabhu, Ganesan Prabhu, Rajan Prabhu, Levin Prabhu, and every single person who worked in the cooking area.
Whether you were stirring a pot, cutting ingredients, lifting equipment, managing the fire, washing utensils, arranging supplies or solving unexpected problems โ every action contributed to feeding thousands of devotees.
And to those whose names we have unfortunately not mentioned, please know this:
Your seva has not gone unnoticed. We may have forgotten your name, but we have not forgotten your contribution.
๐บ Kuala Lumpur Mariamman Temple & Bangsar Arulmigu Sri Ramalingeswarar Temple
Our special gratitude to Kuala Lumpur Mariamman Temple and Bangsar Arulmigu Sri Ramalingeswarar Temple for sending people to assist with vegetable cutting and prasadam serving.
It was heartwarming to see devotees and volunteers from different temples coming together for one common purpose.
This is the kind of unity that strengthens our entire Hindu community.
Thank you for standing together with us. ๐
๐ The Book Table Seva Team
Our sincere appreciation also goes to everyone who served at the book table, led by Nathan Prabhu, together with Gokula Laksmi Mataji, Sarva Jaya Mataji, Surottama Prabhu and Gitieka.
While prasadam nourishes the body, the distribution of spiritual literature gives an opportunity to nourish the heart and consciousness.
Thank you for dedicating your time to this important seva and for making the books available to the devotees who came to the temple.
Your service ensured that this beautiful occasion became an opportunity not only to distribute prasadam, but also to share spiritual knowledge.
๐ฎ Bukit Aman KL / PDRM / Pulapol
A very special and sincere thank you to Bukit Aman KL and the 10 members of PDRM / Pulapol who came forward to assist with crowd management.
With thousands of devotees present, managing the lines and ensuring that the crowd moved safely and smoothly was an enormous responsibility. They also helped with vegetable cutting, service and serving.
They handled the situation with professionalism, patience and dedication.
Thank you for helping us maintain order amidst such a huge gathering and for ensuring that the devotees could receive prasadam safely and peacefully. ๐
