This September 1-7, churches from Penang to Kuching are quietly joining a global wave of prayer alongside believers in 121 nations.

Our theme, “Tapestry of Love: Weaving Asia’s Future with Ancient Threads of Prayer”, embodies the essence of unity in diversity. We believe this unity is crucial for the awakening the Holy Spirit is kindling worldwide. Each of us contributes a unique thread, spanning languages, cultures, and traditions, to create a magnificent tapestry worthy of heaven itself. The Asian program promises a vibrant and engaging experience that honours the global 24-7 Prayer movement while showcasing Asia’s rich cultural heritage and its pivotal role in the future of global Christianity.

At this 24-7 Prayer Gathering, we’ll be celebrating 25 years since the launch of the first ever 24-7 Prayer room with worship, prayer, teaching, and time spent together in the presence of God.

🙏 Malaysia Day Of Prayer 2024: A Clarification from the Source Herself!

As the administrator of the CCM Youth Facebook group where MDOP was first conceived and having been involved in leading it since its inception, I feel compelled to provide clarity on our recent MDOP 2024 event and its history.

In light of a recent article, on behalf of the Malaysia Day of Prayer (MDOP) 2024 Organising Committee, we wish to clarify key points about our nationwide event:

1️⃣ MDOP's roots trace back to CCM Youth's prayer gathering in Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam in 2012, before Prayer United took this forward with the Year of Jubilee in 2013; now evolving to its current form by 2017. I've witnessed and been part of this journey from the very beginning.

2️⃣ MDOP 2024 (Sept 16) was our first full-scale onsite event post-COVID, while maintaining livestream options.

3️⃣ The event ran from 7AM to 10PM, with sessions across multiple states including Selangor, KL, Sarawak, Penang, and Sabah.

4️⃣ We featured diverse, inclusive gatherings in multiple languages, engaging youth, women, and various denominations, organisations, and prayer networks.

5️⃣ MDOP represents the unity in diversity of Malaysia's Christian community, a unity we've nurtured for over a decade through physical and virtual platforms.

📡 Due to internet disruptions, this year's livestream was broadcast from the Sarawak Methodist YouTube channel. All sessions that were not disrupted will be uploaded to the official MDOP YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/

As someone who has been there from the start, I can attest to MDOP's growth and impact. We remain committed to fostering nationwide prayer and unity.

1️⃣ MDOP has united Malaysian Christians in prayer annually on September 16 since 2012, evolving to its current form in 2017.
