!! FAILURE !!

Failure, as much as it hurts, is an important part of life. In fact, failure is necessary. In fact, failure is life’s great teacher; it is nature’s chisel that chips away at all the excess, stripping down egos as it moulds and shapes
us through divine intentions. Without failure, we’d be less capable of compassion, empathy, kindness, and great achievement; we would be less likely to reach for the moon and the stars.

When we think about failure, we think of things in a negative light. We say that failure is painful and that it causes emotional turmoil and upset, and inflicts agonizing pangs of guilt, regret, and remorse.

But, for those that have known true failure, and have bounced back
from it, understand that failure in life is necessary for success. Sure,
failing hurts. In fact, it cuts deep like a razor, slicing its way to our inner core. Yet, it’s necessary!!

And the most successful people in life have failed the most times. If
you try to go through life without failing at anything, then you’re not
really living a life at all. Taking risks and falling down flat on our faces
is part of life; it makes us into who we are. When a baby is first learning to walk, she’s going to fall down many times. This, in fact, is failure. But, ask any mothers about their baby’s ability to walk and she will wholeheartedly declare that her baby will one day walk. She might fall down many times, but she will surely walk. Why is the mother so confident that her daughter will walk? Of
course, we all know the answer to that. We know that falling down
and failing while learning to walk is just a part of life.

So, why isn’t failure at other things treated this way? What we don’t realize as is just what some people had to go to in order to get where they are in life. Like the baby learning to walk, they had to fall down and fail
many times.

The problem? Society tends to celebrate the successes rather than
highlighting the epic journeys towards success that are filled with
trials, tribulations, upsets, setbacks, and failures. It’s not as glamorous
to talk about those things.

In life, it’s necessary to fail. Failure is a
stepping stone. In fact, there are 5 very powerful life lessons that
failure helps to teach and instill in us. If you’ve recently failed at something in a major way, and you’re going through a difficult time right now, keep these important lessons in mind.

1: Experience – you have failure as an experience and it teaches
you a lesson
2: Knowledge – you have gained knowledge. Next time you won’t
repeat the mistake
3: Resilience – you have gained the strength in your mind
4: Growth – you have grown in wisdom
5: Value – you value life and put aside non-important things like
wealth, position, etc

How to Recover from Failure:

1. Ignore the Naysayers – people will discourage and prevent your
success

2. Understand that it’s Okay to Fail – all of us fail. No one is above it.
So, if you fail, know all have failed one time or another.

3. Realize that it’s Okay to Fail - Realizing failure is order of nature,
don’t lose heart

4. Using Failure as Leverage – Make failures as stepping stones for
success

5. Revisit Your Goals - See whether your goals are appropriate

6. Create a Massive Action Plan -Reorganize your goal and put in
an action plan that will give you success.

At all times remember, that under the sun, there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3). Failure is not an option but bound to happen for many a reason. Therefore, it is vital that we look at failure as a lesson and move forward. Never forsake your goal just
because you failed once or twice. Keep at it and you will succeed.

Even in our Christian walk, we fail many times to keep the holy walk.
We sin and fall but yet God is all merciful and forgives us our failures.
He encourages, through Holy spirit, to succeed. We are made perfect day by day and will become Christ-like if we learn from failures and build on the foundation of Christ.

So, friends, let us beware of failures and learn from them to make our lives a success story. May God anoint you with His Spirit to guide
you to success.

ANGER

Anger is a common emotion exhibited by all of us at one time or other. It is so common we use different words to describe the same
emotion. Road rage is a term we all hear lately. Political wrath is another one which is brandied about. Domestic violence is
another one.
Since anger is so prevalent in our society, we need to know about
anger and what the Bible says about it. Let no one deceive you by
saying anger is just another emotion or letting “steam off”. It is as
dangerous as any poison.
Anger is always the result of an underlying cause. Frustration,
jealousness and loss can provoke anger. Anything that breaks ego
of a person results in anger. Sometimes innocent opinions that
contradicts one’s own opinion can cause anger.
Anger is not a sin. God gets angry at the rebellious people. In fact,
God’s anger becomes a wrath and that will be shown to be a
dangerous thing. The scriptures warn us not to fall into the wrath of
God and God is a consuming fire!
So, if anger is not sin, why should we be cautious about anger.
Again, the scriptures tell us not to sin and to let our anger subside
before sunset. Anger can open the door to many grievous sins.
An angry person usually does not think clearly. Anger causes
massive adrenaline release and that makes the heart to beat more
rapidly and brain to become clouded. Anger makes a rational being an irrational one unless one can control anger. The remedy
for this behaviour is to have a forgiving attitude. God is able to
handle anger because he has long suffering and mercy and
forgiving nature.
How could one suppress anger and let it not morph into wrath?
Wrath is the ultimate level of anger. It will make one to premeditate
action to punish the target of anger. That is why we need to control
anger because seething anger will cause one to sin. Subsided
anger will give reason to be merciful.
Of course, we have to be angry when we see injustice, immorality,
rebellion and other social ills. When children disobey and break
home rules, parents get angry. It is not a bad thing to let others
know what makes one angry. Scriptures tell us that when we
disobey God’s ordinances we make him angry but in the same
breadth scriptures also tell us if we repent, God is able to forgive
and bless us.
God saw the world full of iniquity during Noah’s time and warned
them but those rough necks would not listen and were destroyed by
floods caused by the wrath of God. S***m and Gomorrah were
destroyed when they roused the anger of God in spite of Lot
preaching righteousness.
These are lessons for us. Anger is a genuine emotion. It has short time
goodness and if lasts longtime, it becomes sin. All of us have to
learn anger management. Some erupt into anger on the slightest
provocation. This short temper has made many to regret later and
miss good relationships and rewards.
The Christian way to be angry and to manage anger is well laid out
in the Bible. Bible tells us why we should be angry and when to
cease from being angry. It also warns us not to let anger simmer
and become wrath. Please read the Bible and if you are busy at
least google biblical management of anger and read. Not only
read but also follow the instructions.
I am not going to give you the biblical texts because I want you to
search the scriptures. Many just read what is written by the Priest but
never search the Bible. Jesus said that the scriptures contain life. So,
one need to read the Bible methodically and systematically. Holy Spirit will guide you. The commentaries will help but the inner
eye will be opened by God himself.
Ephesians 4:26 says “Be angry, and do not sin”, do not let the sun go
down on your wrath. You can use a concordance to relate all
things regarding anger and form your own study.
May the Good Lord teach you about anger and how to use your
anger to correct the wrongs. God bless you.
