RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 06 2026

IT'S ALWAYS IN YOUR INTEREST

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son... (John 3:16).

One of the greatest truths to understand in your walk with God is that He never asks anything of you for His benefit. Whenever He instructs, guides, corrects or directs you, it's always in your interest. Everything He does is motivated by His love for you and His desire to bring you into the fullness of His greater blessings and purpose for your life.

Consider what He did through Jesus Christ. He gave His Son for us. Jesus laid down His life, bore our sins, and rose triumphantly from the dead to bring us into fellowship with the Father. Yet His love didn't stop there. Having been exalted to the place of supreme authority and glory, He chose to share that inheritance with us. The Bible says we're "...heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." (Romans 8:17).

Think about it: The One who possesses all things didn't simply bless us from His abundance; He brought us into joint ownership. This helps us understand God's dealings with us. Never view or relate with His instructions through the lens of loss or sacrifice. Rather, see them as expressions of His love and wisdom.

Trust His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life, knowing that He has your highest good at heart. He loves you more than you love yourself. He’s more passionate about your success than you could ever be. The God who gave His Son for you and made you a joint heir with Christ will never lead you into anything that isn't ultimately in your best interest.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, thank you for your immeasurable love and goodness toward me. I trust your wisdom and your guidance, knowing that every instruction you give is motivated by your love and designed for my benefit. My heart is yielded to you, and I walk confidently in your perfect will, with full assurance that your plans for me are excellent and designed for my blessing, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

YOUR SET TIME TO REJOICE
(The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength)

TO THE BIBLE - Philippians 4:4
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”

LET’S TALK
In sports, coaches often teach athletes to smile or celebrate after a mistake or during physical exhaustion. This isn’t because the situation is funny, but because the physical act of celebrating can help interrupt the cycle of panic and fatigue. It gives them the strength to finish the race. There is a profound spiritual truth here: celebrating before the victory appears is actually a source of supernatural strength.

You may say, “What if the circumstances of my life aren’t such that should give room for rejoicing? What if school feels overwhelming? What if my friends misunderstand me, my grades drop, or things at home feel tense? How am I supposed to rejoice then?” That’s precisely the time to rejoice! Yes, your joy is independent of circumstances; it’s rooted in your spirit. It’s a supernatural delight that persists even when the storms rage. When faith is challenged, that’s the perfect moment to celebrate. The Bible says, “...with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:3).

“Salvation” is an all-encompassing word; it refers to soundness, preservation, divine health, success, prosperity, and every blessing that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ consummated for the Christian. In other words, God wants you to know that you must keep your joy afloat to experience the wonderful blessings of salvation.

So, even when exams are tough, peer pressure is loud, or the future feels unclear, you can still stand strong inside. Learn to maintain a joyful spirit even in the midst of daunting and trying circumstances, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Glory to God!

GO DEEPER:
1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice evermore.

Philippians 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

SPEAK
I declare that the joy of the Lord is my strength, and that joy saturates my spirit and bursts forth in refreshing streams of rejoicing. I rejoice always in the Lord my God, who has filled my heart with gladness and my mouth with songs of rejoicing.

DAILY BIBLE READING
ONE YEAR
Philippians 3:12-4:1-3, Isaiah 19-22

TWO YEARS
John 4:1-9, 1 Kings 10-11

ACT
Today, set aside five minutes for a laughing session. Find a quiet place; meditate on all the good things God has done for you, and just start laughing. Laugh at the devil. Laugh at the challenges.

LEARN TO PRAY

Luke 11:1
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place... one of His disciples said to Him, 'Lord, teach us to pray...'

Jesus often spent time praying. He talked with the Father with faith, knowing He was heard.

His disciples noticed this. They saw that Jesus prayed regularly and that His prayers made a difference. So, one day, they asked Him, "...Lord, teach us to pray..." (Luke 11:1). They wanted to learn how to talk to God the right way.

You can pray like Jesus, too. When you pray with faith and trust in God, your prayers make a difference. They bring changes, blessings, and grace to your life, and to others around you.

SCRIPTURE READING
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

LET'S PRAY
My prayers are powerful and effective. As I pray in faith, I see answers and positive changes in my life and in the lives of others, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD.

MONDAY OCTOBER 05 2026

HE KNOWS MORE THAN YOU DO
..and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14).

There’re moments in life when God calls you to act, give, speak, serve, or take a stand, and you may not fully understand the significance of what He's asking of you. At such times, it's important to remember a simple truth: He knows more than you do.

Consider the woman who broke her alabaster box of precious ointment and poured it on the Lord Jesus (Matthew 26:7). The disciples condemned her act as wasteful. They thought the ointment should have been sold and the money given to the poor; they were upset (Matthew 26:8-9).

But the Lord saw what they couldn't see and said, “… Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me…For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial” (Matthew 26:10-12). Then the Lord made a most remarkable statement in verse 13 that wherever the Gospel would be preached throughout the world, her act would be remembered.

The woman didn't fully understand the eternal significance of what she had done, but the Lord did. The same truth is seen in the story of Esther. As queen, she had a position of influence, but when her people faced destruction, Mordecai challenged her to recognise the significance of her place and time, saying, “…who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).

What seemed like a personal decision for Esther carried consequences for an entire nation. God had positioned her for a purpose greater than she could see. Many times, the Lord's instructions are connected to realities beyond our present understanding. He sees the future.

He knows the impact of your obedience. He understands the eternal value of the choices He places before you. That's why you can trust Him completely. When He directs you, He's not trying to take something from you; He's leading you into His greater purpose for your life and into blessings whose full significance may not yet be apparent.

Therefore, trust His wisdom above your own reasoning. When He calls, respond. When He directs, obey. When He opens a door for service, sacrifice, or commitment, embrace it with joy. He sees what you cannot see, and He knows more than you do.

Prayer / Confession
Dear Father, thank you for your wisdom, love and guidance in my life. I trust your plans and purposes for me, knowing that you see beyond the present and understand the eternal significance of every step of my obedience. My heart is yielded to your leading, and I walk confidently in the path you have ordained for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
