Day 1:
What an evening! A Great Grand Sur Puja with Fire Offering: “Display of Primodial Wisdom” led by our Venerable Masters.

In the darkness & stillness of the night; our prayers that every being enjoyed the aromatic fragrance of these offerings, helped beings in the bardo state, karmic debts repaid & obstacles cleared.

In the process, may profound compassion arise spontaneously & spiritual merits accumulated in every one! Lekso! Lekso! Lekso! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

This auspicious day has passed but its profound spirituality, sacredness, blessings & significance lives on in this present life & in many, many future lifetimes.

Consecration 开光 Blessing Puja followed authentic traditions to bless & awaken the sacred energy, spiritual power & wisdom of all our recently consecrated Buddha statues. Truly present & fully awakened on this 4-Armed Great Mahakala Dharma Protector day! ❤️

Prior to the Puja, Ven. Khen Rinpoche Lak shared with us the intricate consecration process & why it took him so many long years to consecrate them.

In the interim years & with great blessings, he managed to gather more than a thousand of the most precious, holiest substances from many, many Great Masters, Monasteries from different Buddhist schools in many countries. Included Riwoche Great Monastery & our 1st Taklung Kagyu Monastery in Tibet (Taklung Yarthang Dorjee Den). The long Consecration wait was certainly worth it!

Once completely filled with sacred relics+objects, a double vajra seal is usually placed at the bottom of the statue. The opening is then permanently glued & sealed to secure the sacred interior contents.

Sealing ensures the invoked consecrated spiritual energy & the Buddha’s blessing & wisdom is present and permanently preserved within. Also serves as a continuous focal point for our meditation practice, prayers, devotion.

Placement of sacred rolled mantras in different parts of the statue’s body. Starting from the crown, throat, heart etc. & ending with the lotus throne.

Followed by precious relics, substances, medicinal herbs etc. respectfully handled with mantra recitations by the Mahasanghas

Sharing: Consecration Substances for our Center’s Buddha statues. Included:

-venerated hair, cloth & numerous other relics from thousands of Great Masters some of which dates back to more than a thousand years old ❤️

-a rare 700+ years remnant from the original Lord Buddha Shakyamuni statue at Riwoche Great Monastery, East Tibet that was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution ❤️

-An *authentic* portion of our Kagyur and Tengyur texts (written on dark blue paper with gold ink) from the *original sacred* Taklung Kagyu Dharma Texts in Riwoche Great Monastery ❤️

-holy Robes offered to Lord Buddha Shakyamuni in Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya.

-all kinds of precious herbs, holy soil, bricks, tree branches, Bodhi tree leaves from many holy sites across the world. From Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Lumbini….

-Relics, Dharma pills, precious stones etc. from countless monasteries across Tibet, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, China, Ladakh & other parts of the world
