Natara came to Canada around 1921. He worked as a sawmill labourer and owner, but also as a priest at the Gur Sikh Temple in Abbotsford (The temple still exists and was a designated as a national historic site by former P.M. Jean Chrรฉtien. It is located at๏ฟผ 33089 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford) Vancouver, 1938.
