馬來西亞佛教總會成立簡史The Founding：

13/9/1957
獲得社團註冊局批准成立馬來西亞佛教會，註冊地點為檳城極樂寺。
Registrar of Society approved the establishment of Malayan Buddhist Association at Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang.

19/4/1959
在極樂寺舉行成立大典，恭請當時首相東姑阿都拉曼主持開幕。 The founding ceremony was held at Kek Lok Si Temple, presided by the then Prime Minsiter Tunku Abdul Rahman

1/10/1963
購入檳城車水路地段以建築永久會所。
The lot at Burma Road, Penang was acquired to

construct office building.

1/1/1970
創辦檳州正化幼稚園。
Zheng Hua Kindergarten was started

3/3/1970
創辦馬來西亞佛學院。
Malaysian Buddhist Institute was established.

11/4/1971
馬佛總大廈落成。
Construction of Malayan Buddhist Association building was completed.

22/11/1973
獲得社團註冊官正式批准更改總會名稱為“馬來西亞佛教總會”。
Registrar of Society approved the change of name to Malaysian Buddhist Association

🙏🪷2026年卫塞节 · 马佛总庆典活动 🙏🪷

今年，马佛总会卫塞节庆典依旧在同一个地点举行。由于马佛总会多元化大楼重建工程正在进行中，因此今年特别借用了李氏宗祠作为庆典场地之一。

📍 庆典地点包括：
✨ 马佛总会旧楼前方
✨ 马佛总会教育慈善大厦 3A 礼堂
✨ 李氏宗祠

🪷 浴佛亭主要设于马佛总会旧楼工程前方。此外，大众也可于马佛总会教育慈善大厦 3A 礼堂及李氏宗祠进行浴佛。

大众除了可以前来浴佛、供灯及供花之外，也欢迎到 3A 礼堂及李氏宗祠礼堂支持十供供品义卖 、佛教文物义卖活动及参观单位展览介绍。 此外，槟威佛教赠医施药所所将于5月30日及31日，上午9时至下午2时举办素食义卖活动。欢迎大众前来浴佛、享用素食、护生培福，共沾法喜 🙏

🙏🪷 2026 Wesak Day Celebration at the Malaysian Buddhist Association 🙏🪷

This year, the Wesak Day celebration at the Malaysian Buddhist Association （MBA） will continue to be held at the same location. As the MBA Multipurpose Building reconstruction project is currently in progress, Lee Sih Chong Soo has also been kindly used as one of the celebration venues this year.

📍 Celebration venues include:
✨ In front of the MBA old building
✨ 3A Hall, Wisma Education & Charity, MBA
✨ Lee Sih Chong Soo

🪷 The main Bathing Buddha pavilion will be located in front of the MBA old building construction area. Devotees may also perform Bathing Buddha at 3A Hall and Lee Sih Chong Soo .

In addition to Bathing Buddha, light offering, and flower offering, we welcome the public to support the Ten Offerings Items sale, the Buddhist cultural items charity sale, and to visit the exhibition booths at 3A Hall and Lee Sih Chong Soo Hall.

🥗 In addition, Penang & P.W Buddhist Free Clinic will be holding a vegetarian charity sale on:

🕘 9:00am – 2:00pm

We warmly welcome everyone to come for Bathing Buddha, enjoy vegetarian food, practise compassion and rejoice in the blessings of Wesak 🙏
