观音基金会成立于1999年5月25日，创办至今，董事局、理事会及一群义工团队们本着学习及体现观音菩萨“千处祈求千处应”的慈悲济世的精神，齐心协力长期为宗教、文化、教育及慈善方面尽一份绵力。

观音基金会主要目标有：

*发展佛教事业 ~ 赞助及推动佛教弘法利生，净化社会人 心，落实人间佛教的各类活动。

*发扬及推动文化教育~赞助与推动宗教及社会文化教育活动，各层次培训、健康文娱活动等。

*致力于急救济贫工作~不分种族、宗教，支助孤儿、老人、残障人士、病黎、灾民、筹办捐血运动等等。

Yayasan Gu

an Yin was set up in 25th May 1999. Under the leading of Directors, Committees and dedicated volunteers, YGY is always there to propagate the teachings on Buddhism and promote loving kindness and understanding among all. The Objectives under YGY include :

* To spread compassion and loving kindness through moral life
* To promote cross-cultural exchanges, recreational and educational activities, interaction workshops among others. Promote the study and training of the dramatic arts and music.
* To strengthen community services through donations to the underprivileged, the handicapped, the sick and blood donation campaigns.

Meet the Director of Tibetan Publications at Tsadra Foundation, who has spent decades preserving sacred Buddhist texts. He will share the Buddha’s life story, followed by a serene lamp-offering prayer.
