Today, DVBA conducted the Vassa Invitation Ceremony to our Founder and Abbot, Bhante Dr. A. Siri Yasassi, marking the commencement of the three-month Rain Retreat (Vassa).

Bhante shared a Dhamma reflection, followed by the chanting of the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, reminding all of us of the Buddha's first teaching: that dukkha (suffering) is an inherent part of life; the cause of suffering is craving (taṇhā); the cessation of suffering is possible through the abandonment of craving; and the path leading to the cessation of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path.

Over the next three months, DVBA will be organising more Dhamma activities and opportunities for practice. Do stay tuned to our upcoming postings.

About Dharma-Vijaya Buddhist Association (DVBA):
Dharma-Vijaya Buddhist Association, registered in 2014, aims to promote the Buddha’s teachings through learning, practice, and the realization of the Dhamma. DVBA was honoured to attend the Wacana Harmoni MADANI 2026 Sambutan Hari Wesak Peringkat Kebangsaan, a meaningful event promoting harmony, unity, compassion, and mutual respect among all communities.

DVBA also set up a counter to promote the fundraising campaign for the new vihāra at Cahaya SPK, Shah Alam. We were deeply honoured by the visit of VIP guests to our counter during the event.

May the spirit of Wesak continue to inspire peace, wisdom, and kindness for the well-being of society and the nation.
