🪷 Geshe-la’s Birthday Celebration 🪷 On June 4th, Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day, we celebrate the deeds and great kindness of our root Guru & founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

As faithful modern Kadampa disciples we remember the great kindness of Venerable Geshe-la every day, but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer ‘Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples’ and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

There will be three sessions using the sadhana ‘The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra’ and the special request prayer. In the evening, the retreat will conclude with ‘Offering to the Spiritual Guide’ dedicated to the flourishing of everything that Venerable Geshe-la established in our world.

This event is free of charge. Donations are appreciated and will be used to support the centre and spread Buddha's precious teachings. Everyone is welcome to take part of entire day or any session.

Schedule: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM (Session 1)
1:30 PM - 3.00 PM (Session 2)
4:00 PM - 5.30 PM (Session 3)
7:30 PM - 9:15 PM : Offering to the Spiritual Guide Puja

“The main cause of enlightenment is bodhichitta, and the root of bodhichitta is compassion. Since the development of compassion depends upon cherishing others, the first step to the sublime happiness of enlightenment is learning to cherish others.”
