On Sunday, 16 August 2026, we shared a powerful time of worship, lifting our voices and hearts to the Lord. Together in the Pastoral Prayer, we interceded for those suffering, uniting in compassion and faith. The message, Encountering God in the Midst of Suffering and Loss, reminded us through 1 Peter 4:12-19 that trials are part of our walk with Christ. ✨🙏

We were encouraged to let our hearts be fully captured by God’s love and will. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 called us to remain steadfast, like good soldiers of Christ Jesus, focused on His glory even in persecution. The Lord’s name is all-powerful, filling us with strength and hope. 💪🔥✝️

We also learned the beauty of lament, bringing our grief, questions, and pain honestly before God. Knowing He is in control, lament is worship. Teaching us to cry out yet trust, to mourn yet cling to hope, and to discover healing in His presence. 🌿💧🙌

Now the challenge remains: will we live daily with unwavering focus, embrace suffering as refining fire, practice lament as deeper faith, and boldly shine His love in a world that longs for hope? 🌍✨🔥

✨ On Sunday, 9 August 2026, worshippers gathered for the final day to submit Pledge Forms, and officially join our 40PF (40-Days Prayer & Fasting) journey, which had just begun the previous Friday. 🙌

🎶 After hearts were lifted in a joyful time of song worship, the congregation leaned in to hear God’s Word. Together, we opened Deuteronomy 6:1–25, reflecting deeply on the theme:

📖 “Hearing God in the Midst of Idols,”💡the message that reminded us that in a world filled with distractions and false voices, God calls His people to listen attentively, obey faithfully, and love Him wholeheartedly. It was a powerful encouragement to keep our ears tuned to His truth, even when surrounded by competing influences.

🔥 The day was not just about closing registrations, it was about opening hearts to a season of prayer, fasting, and renewed devotion.

✨ Last Friday evening, on 7 August 2026, Pantai Baptist Church marked a truly special occasion: the official starting day of our church-wide 40PF (40-Day Prayer & Fasting). 🙏 All Life Groups paused their regular study meetings so that we could gather together as one family for this significant day.

🎶 We lifted our voices in worship through songs, entered into moments of silent prayer, and then reflected deeply on the reading from Isaiah 58:6, which reminded us about “Getting Serious.” The message stirred our hearts, calling us to lay aside distractions and focus fully on God’s will, beyond our individual walls.

💡 It was an inspiring and motivating time, to be accountable of each person's step of faith, and pledge to grow closer to the Lord. Together, we committed to seek Him earnestly, embracing this season of prayer and fasting with renewed devotion and unity. ❤️

On Sunday, 2 August 2026, the congregation gathered for a heartwarming time of worship unto God 🙏. As part of PBC’s cherished tradition, being the first week of the month, baptised believers were invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper 🍞🍷 for a moment of reflection and unity in faith.

Following the Pastoral Prayer, the congregation was introduced to PBC 40PF, ✨a spiritual journey designed to deepen our devotion and reliance on God. This churchwide exercise called us to commit to 40 days of prayer and fasting that will begin on Friday 7 August 2026. Worshippers were given a Pledge Form to complete and submit.

The message shared, “Patience through Fasting and Praying” ⏳🕊️, filled everyone with inspiration. It reminded us that through discipline and faith, patience is cultivated, and God’s presence becomes more tangible in our lives.
