Hanuman Chalisa 7pm - 8pm Geeta Ashram Malaysia (GAM) is one of over 600 ashrams worldwide founded by His Holiness Paramhans Shri 108 Swami Hari Harji Maharaj with the aim of spreading the divine message of the Bhagavad Geeta. GAM hosts Classes for

Children from 11.30am to 12.30pm every Sunday to teach children and youth the message of the Geeta, as well as moral values and Hinduism. These classes have been held for more than 15 years and has benefited many children (some of them now young adults!) along the way. Youth represents a team of young adults and teenagers, who have all been very blessed to have grown up with the lessons of the Bhagavad Geeta. Over the years, many of us have gone near and far but we always keep the teachings of the Geeta close to our hearts, and we are all still very much affiliated with Geeta Ashram Malaysia. Having received such great blessings, it is now our turn to give back – so here we are using the internet as our platform :)

We are hoping to use this page to share with everyone all over the globe, our projects, fun activities, lessons we’ve learned and also to aid in fund raising for our new building – and give you a chance to participate too! Whether you are joining for the first time or have been following the series, this class in English is designed to make the Geeta practical, easy to understand, and relevant to our daily lives. Come learn, reflect, ask questions, and grow together in a warm satsang environment.

Senior Care Day was held on 4th July 2026 at DDJV Event Hall, Geeta Ashram Malaysia.

This health charity initiative was organised in collaboration between Geeta Ashram Malaysia and HOPE @ Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.

The programme was designed to support seniors through simple but meaningful health checks, guidance, and consultations. The booths covered the following areas:

1. Weight, height, BMI and blood pressure check
2. Sugar and cholesterol check
3. Muscle strength assessment
4. Falls risk assessment
5. Making our homes safe
6. Memory screening
7. Food is medicine: Are you eating right?
8. Physician consultation

Registration was limited to 100 participants to ensure that every attendee received proper attention, checks, and discussion time with the medical team. We are grateful that the registration was fully taken up, though we regret that we had to turn away many others due to the limited capacity.

A healthy breakfast and lunch were served to all participants. A donation of RM30 was collected from each participant for the programme.

We were truly privileged to have a good number of medical doctors, medical staff, management committee members, and volunteers who gave their time and service to ensure the programme ran smoothly.

As this was our first major health charity initiative, we have also taken note of areas that can be improved for future programmes.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to HOPE @ Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, all doctors, staff, volunteers, committee members, participants, and everyone who supported this meaningful seva.
