I almost forgotten how crazy it is to manage your own website, stock count and all that small biz jazz.

“The closer you approach to God, the simpler you will become.” These words struck me watching her movie the first time over the weekend.

I wasn’t planning to post anything today, but this morning during prayer I was moved to pick up my iPad once again, remembering that today marks 1 year since City On A Hill Designs was launched. I know I haven’t been able to create and be present here as much as I’d envisioned myself to this year, but I’m learning to trust and surrender into the Lord’s hands every moment that I have. The past 9 days with St Thérèse has been such a comforting place to be in reflecting on her life, and still those words stayed with me through the week and was reminded again of them in the morning.

“The closer you approach to God, the simpler you will become.”
O the paradox and beauty of our faith- that the Kingdom of God belongs to that of ‘little children’ as Jesus puts it. Don’t get me wrong, it is essential to learn more about our faith and her teachings, but I hope we can come to ponder and invite the Lord to show us how we are to truly be His little children. Since we are first the Father’s adopted sons and daughters before anything else.

The tendency for us to fast forward to the Lord’s resurrection is so real. To get to the good part and minimise as much time of grieve, sorrow, pain and waiting.

But let us be reminded that the hours of Holy Saturday leading up to Easter Vigil is just as important as Good Friday and Easter Sunday. God is still working, God is still moving.

“…The state of the dead Christ is the mystery of the tomb and the descent into hell. It is the mystery of Holy Saturday, when Christ, lying in the tomb, reveals God's great sabbath rest after the fulfilment of man's salvation, which brings peace to the whole universe.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 624)

May we keep close to Jesus. Just as He calls us to stay awake with Him to pray at the Garden of Gethsemane. Here’s an invitation for us to be present in the moment and stay hopeful for His resurrection that is coming.

Sometimes we tend to OVERTHINK 🙇🏻‍♀️ how we can spread the Good News of Jesus, but I truly believe one of the easiest and powerful way is through our TESTIMONY. 🌈

I personally love love looove listening to testimonies of how the Lord has worked in people’s lives. Because NO ONE STORY is ever the same. ✨ These stories are specially, uniquely YOU to share and bring others to know CHRIST. ✝️
