This is the official page of ISKCON Malaysia's 1st Temple in Seberang Jaya, Penang. Sri Sri Radha Krishna Kanhaiya Temple of Devotion & Understanding opened its doors to over 12, 000 of devotees & well-wishers around the world to come and witness the magnificent inauguration of Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple of Devotion and Understanding on Saturday, 29th August 2015. This dream is reality today onl

y due to vision of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada - the Founder Acharya of ISKCON - when he visited Malaysia 40 years back. The seed for this temple was planted back then in time as he had a sketch that resembled the Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan. And that is when he declared, " I want a temple like this". To fulfil his desire and by Sri Sri Radha Krishna's mercy, the first pile broke ground in 2009, and the temple has been growing steadily up to what it is today. Our presiding deities’ Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga Rai also manifested Themselves in the same year and have been giving Their mercy to thousands of visitors ever since then at Bhakitvedanta Cultural Centre (BCC) - which is the first phase of Radha Krishna Temple Complex that was opened in 2004. During the GRAND OPENING of the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple of Devotion & Understanding, we also installed Sri Sri Radha Krishna Kanhaiya, where the name was announced by HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaj. On the top floor (mezzanine floor) of TODU, we have the Srila Prabhupada's Art Gallery designed by the youths of BCC/TODU in tribute to Srila Prabhupada's journey from the early years of Krishna Conscientiousness from the West to Malaysia.
