Acts 10:34–35 — “God does not show favouritism.”

🌐 In a world of quick reactions and instant opinions, perhaps we need to slow down and take a moment to understand.
Sometimes we see a headline, a photograph or a few words in a social media post and quickly form an opinion. Yet there is often more to the story than what first catches our attention.

🙏 God calls us to listen, understand and seek truth before we respond.
Before we hit Like, Share, or Comment, perhaps we can pause and ask:

❓ “Did I take time to read the article?”
❓ “Do I understand the whole story?”
❓ “Am I responding to the truth—or to my own assumptions?”
🧘 A moment to pause can make room for understanding.

❤️ If God does not show favouritism, may we also learn to look beyond our differences and always see one another with grace.

🙏 Lord, give us wisdom to seek truth, patience to listen and humility to understand. Help us to speak with grace, build understanding and bring people together. Amen. 🕊️

Heavenly Father,
We lift up our Bishop, Right Reverend Datuk Danald Jute, to You on this special 9th Episcopal Anniversary. Thank You for placing him as our shepherd and for his inspiring devotion to Your Kingdom. Lord, we pray for his leadership. Grant him supernatural wisdom, renewed vision, and unwavering courage to guide the Anglican Diocese of Kuching. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him daily, refreshing his soul and filling him with divine favor.
We pray for his health and well-being. Protect him from weariness, shield him from all harm, and bless him with robust strength and endurance for the journey ahead.
We pray for his family. Cover Datin and their children with Your peace, joy, and love. Bless their home, strengthen their bonds, and provide for their every need as they support him in this heavy calling. AMEN.

On behalf of the ADYC Exco, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Reverend Datuk Danald Jute, for his encouraging message and prayers for the young people of the Diocese of Kuching. His continued support and constant encouragement have been a great blessing to us all.

I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the young people across our parishes and chapels for participating in the Diocesan Youth Sunday 2026 celebrations. Thank you for serving faithfully in the many roles and responsibilities entrusted to you. My prayer is that we will continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as we put our hope in Christ alone.

My sincere appreciation also goes to all our clergy, Parish Pastoral Councils (PCC), Women Fellowship, Men Fellowship, parents, and everyone who has faithfully supported and encouraged our young people in so many ways. Your partnership, prayers, and commitment have played an important role in nurturing the next generation to know, love, and serve Christ.

Ultimately, we give thanks and all glory to God. As we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Anglican Diocesan Youth Council this year, we look back with grateful hearts and thank God for His faithfulness in carrying us through every season. We are also deeply thankful for those who faithfully sowed the seeds before us and laid the foundation for the youth ministry we enjoy today.

As we look to the future, we do so with confidence, resting in the same faithful God who has led us this far and trusting Him to continue His good work in the years to come.
