The countdown is almost over! Tomorrow, we tee off for the Swing for Hope & Love Charity Golf Competition 2026 at Samarahan Country Club.

We are truly grateful for the overwhelming support from our golfers, sponsors, partners, and volunteers who have made this meaningful event possible. Every swing, every putt, and every contribution will help support the expansion and ministries of the Iban Methodist Church in Kuching as we continue to serve our growing community.

SWING FOR HOPE & LOVE 2026

Join us for the GMIBK Charity Golf Competition 2026 in support of the upgrading and development fund of Gereja Methodist Iban Bandaraya Kuching (GMIBK).

This meaningful tournament is more than just a game of golf — it is an opportunity for us to come together as a community, share fellowship, and contribute towards building a better future for the church and its ministry. Every swing, every sponsorship, and every participation will help support the church upgrading project for the benefit of future generations.

A Journey of Strength and Love
Mother’s Day Celebration at Gereja Methodist Iban Bandaraya Kuching & Kota Samarahan

Today, both Gereja Methodist Iban Bandaraya Kuching and Gereja Methodist Iban Kota Samarahan celebrated Mother’s Day with the meaningful theme, *“A Journey of Strength and Love”* based on Genesis 29:1–35.

The message reflected the journey of Leah and Rachel — a story filled with love, perseverance, sacrifice, and unwavering strength through seasons of joy and hardship. Just like the mothers in our lives, their journey reminds us that true love often comes with patience, endurance, and faith in God’s purpose. Mothers carry countless responsibilities with quiet strength, nurturing their families with unconditional love and steadfast prayers.

Before the end of the service, all mothers were invited to the front of the church for a special prayer dedication, as the congregation united in thanksgiving and prayed for God’s blessings, protection, wisdom, and good health upon every mother and mother figure. It was truly a touching and meaningful moment for everyone present.

Special thanks and appreciation to the Program Committee for sponsoring the beautiful Mother’s Day Jelly Cake for all mothers in celebration of this blessed occasion.

Shalom semua! Kitai deka ngintu Hari Ista ba gerija Kuching & Kota Samarahan kena Harfi Minggu tu, jam 9 pagi. Sapa ke gerah ati deka sponsor Easter Egg kita tau manduk and mai ke gerija.

Kitai mega bisi ngumpul special Thanksgiving Offering ba lagu ti penudi. Minta kita nyedia ka offering engkah dlm sampul surat, nibuh nulis nama.

𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔
Today, both our church in Kuching and Kota Samarahan gathered for the Good Friday Service at 3:00 PM, reflecting on the love and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. ✝️🙏

We are truly encouraged by the strong attendance — 229 in Kuching and 135 in Samarahan, bringing a total of 364 worshippers united in faith. This is especially meaningful as our Samarahan church only began its services in August 2025, yet the growth and commitment shown by the congregation have been remarkable.

After the service, we shared a warm Tea Fellowship, a wonderful time of connection and fellowship among members. ☕🤍 We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all members who generously contributed and sponsored the refreshments for this gathering. Your kindness and spirit of service truly reflect Christ’s love in action.

May the message of Good Friday remind us of His great sacrifice and deepen our gratitude as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
