This Sunday's message focuses on how believers should respond to challenges by seeking God, knowing His Word, trusting His promises, and obeying Him.

Using King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 17 and 20, Sis. Marina Pudun highlights how Jehoshaphat first established Judah spiritually by teaching the people God’s law, and later, when faced with a powerful enemy, he responded by seeking the Lord rather than relying solely on his own strength. God reassured him, saying, “Do not be afraid nor dismayed,” and instructed Judah to position themselves, stand firm, and witness God’s salvation.

She then notes the importance of sound Biblical training: Noting that knowing Scripture is not about simply completing courses but allowing God’s Word to become part of our lives. Sis. Marina therefore encourages believers to seek God first in every situation, including before beginning each day, and to teach their children to pray and trust God. Even when God’s instructions seem illogical —obedience can lead to supernatural results.

The message to us believers is this: Seek God, know His Word, obey His instructions, stand firm in faith, and trust Him to bring the victory. In facing challenges and tasks beyond our own ability, we should do our part while allowing God to take control and receive the glory. In this we are reminded to “position yourself” and “see the salvation of the Lord.”

𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟏𝟖:𝟏-𝟓 - " At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯?”
"Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘭𝘺, 𝘐 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘺 𝘯𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯. 𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘦."

The title is a reference to the disciples' repeated dispute recorded in Mark 9:33-37 and in Matthew 18:1-5: Over who was the greatest in the kingdom of God. Using the examples of a little child and a servant, Jesus teaches that true greatness is found in humility, dependence on God, receiving one another as God's children, and serving others rather than seeking status or recognition.

Here, Elder Thomas emphasizes that understanding God's kingdom requires being born again and adopting the attitude of a child. Believers are called to lay aside worldly ideas of rank and privilege, embrace humility, and follow Christ's example of servant-hearted living as members of God's family.

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟎 :𝟏𝟏 (𝐍𝐊𝐉𝐕) - "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."

The sermon teaches that believers must trust God completely rather than relying on themselves. Drawing from Proverbs 3:5–6, Elder Paul Yee emphasizes surrendering every area of life to God because human understanding is limited, while God sees the beginning and the end and promises to direct the paths of those who acknowledge Him.

The message then presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Like sheep, people are vulnerable, prone to wander, and unable to survive spiritually without a shepherd. Jesus took upon Himself humanity’s sin and gave His life for His sheep, demonstrating God’s compassion and care. Because believers belong to the Good Shepherd, they can trust His guidance and learn to recognize His voice amid the many competing voices of culture, fear, condemnation, and the enemy.
