🌿 A NEW SEASON FOR OUR YOUTH 🌿
St. Faith's Parish Youth Ministry | Commissioning Service | 2026–2028

Today, we commission a new team of young leaders — not because they have it all figured out, but because they've said yes to something bigger than themselves.

This generation doesn't need another reason to scroll past faith. They need a reason to seek it, live it, and follow it — for real, in the middle of exams, group chats, part-time jobs, and everything else pulling at their attention.

That's exactly what this team is stepping up to do.

Under the guidance of our Youth Chaplain, Rev. Christmanuel, and led by Chairperson Damian Anak Dublin Unting, our new ExCo - Ashby, Lily, Megan, Mitchelle, and Hezkel - together with our KJI, JBM, and ESC Committee Members, are committing the next two years to walking this road with their peers.

Not perfect. Not polished. Just willing.

"Seek first the kingdom of God... and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

To every young person at St. Faith's: this ministry is for you. Come as you are, ask the hard questions, and find out what it means to follow Jesus in a way that actually fits your life.

On 24–25 July 2026, 100 women gathered at the Association of Churches Centre in Kuching for a powerful two-day Women's Seminar themed "United in Christ." Participants came together from across denominations - Anglican parishes, BEM churches, Methodist churches, and Cornerstone Community Church, Good News Fellowship, Transformation Church and Blessed Sacrament Church - a beautiful picture of how churches can make an even greater impact when they come together as one body in Christ.

We were blessed to hear from four inspiring speakers:
✝️ Subdeacon Cecelia Reges, St. Faith's Church
✝️ Grace Lim, St. Francis Church
✝️ Pastor Joyce Khoo, Cornerstone Community Church Kuching
✝️ Datin Sri Garnette Ridu, St. Thomas's Cathedral

The seminar aimed to empower women - as mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, and daughters-in-law - to do more for Christ in their homes, churches, and communities, with three key objectives:

1️⃣ Encourage women to be deeply grounded in Christ, establishing a strong spiritual foundation to live out God's calling on their lives.
2️⃣ Help women discover and understand their God-given gifts and talents, so they can faithfully serve God, their families, and their communities.
3️⃣ Provide a platform for women across denominations to network, fellowship, and encourage one another as a community in Christ.

🌱 SOWING SEEDS OF NEW LIFE 🌱
Sixth Sunday after Trinity | 12 July 2026

This Sunday, we read the story of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23). A farmer throws seeds on the ground. Some seeds fall on the path. Some fall on rocky ground. Some fall among thorns. Some fall on good soil.
The farmer does not choose where each seed lands. He simply sows the seed everywhere, with a generous heart.

This story asks us a simple question: what is our heart like right now? Are we too busy? Too worried? Too full of other things? Sometimes we don't notice these things blocking God's Word from growing in us.

But here is the good news: God still sows the seed. He does not wait for us to be ready. He gives His Word freely, and He is patient with us.

This Sunday, let us slow down. Let us make space in our hearts for God's Word to grow.
