Inside Kuching's Hidden Workshop of “Angel Artisans” ❤️
For many years, Heart Treasures quietly carried on its work away from the spotlight.
Today, we are deeply humbled that The Borneo Post has opened the doors to our little workshop and shared the story of our angel artisans with Sarawak and beyond.
What may appear to be a small workshop is, to us, a place filled with dreams.
A place where hands learn.
Where confidence grows.
Where discarded materials are given another life.
And where people who are sometimes seen only through their limitations are given the opportunity to show the world what they can do.
Our angel artisans are not here to be pitied.
They are here to learn, create, work, teach, contribute and grow.
Through commercial orders, handmade crafts, corporate workshops and everyday life-skills training, we hope to build something much greater than products.
We hope to build dignity.
We hope to build confidence.
We hope to build financial independence.
And most importantly, we hope to build a future where our angel artisans can stand with greater confidence and say:
“I can do it.”
The Borneo Post story also reminded us of something very close to our hearts.
The woven craftsmanship created by our angel artisans once travelled all the way to Parliament as part of the Budget 2025 briefcase.
But for us, that was never the greatest achievement.
The greatest achievement is seeing an artisan earn through their own hands.
The greatest achievement is seeing a parent begin to believe,
“My child can do meaningful work.”
The greatest achievement is seeing an artisan teach someone else.
And perhaps one day, the greatest achievement will be exactly what we have always dreamed:
“One day, this company belongs to them.”
Our deepest gratitude to Ms. Aileen Yap and The Borneo Post for taking the time to listen, observe and understand the story behind Heart Treasures.
Thank you for seeing not only what our angel artisans make with their hands, but also what they are capable of becoming.
To every person who has supported Heart Treasures () - through an order, a workshop, a purchase, a referral, an introduction, encouragement or simply by believing in our angel artisans -
thank you for helping us keep this little space alive.
With love, gratitude and hope,
Heart Treasures ❤️

《The Borneo Post》
