TODAY (15 November 2024) corresponding to Katak Sudi Puranmasi, 1526 Bk. (1469 CE) is the 555th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Listening the prayer and plea of his beloved ones, Akaal Purakh Waheguru descended in the form of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to correct the wrong which was happening in the world. Whilst being all-powerful, Guru Ji showed us the true way of life as a living example and imbued the virtue of humility in His Sikhs.

Satguru Ji made sinners into saints, beggars into kings and gave us, His Sikhs a purpose in life through the principles of Naam, Daan and Ishnaan. There is no other ‘God’ besides Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who is greater than the greatest yet the most benevolent Gareeb Nivaaj. Bhai Nand Lal Ji writes:

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਮਦ ਨਰਾਇਨ ਸਰੂਪ ||
ਹਮਾਨਾ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਰੂਪ ॥ ੧ ॥
Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the complete form of Almighty. Without doubt, he is the form of the Formless and the Immaculate Waheguru.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

1st Vaisakh 1756 Bk. (1699 CE) is the day Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji manifested the Khalsa before the world.

We should take this opportunity to remember our ancestors who gave their lives but not their Sikhi bestowed upon us by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Remember, Sikhi is not cheap, thousands gave their lives and our 5 beloved Pyares gave their head before Amrit could be administered.

This is the day when sparrows were made into falcons that withstood all atrocities while keeping their identity intact. We should never ever forget their sacrifices.

Take this opportunity to come closer to our Guru by following His Rehat Maryada (code of conduct) as ordained by the Tenth Master.

Bhai Gurdas Ji writes:
ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਗੁਰੁ ਏਕ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਜਾਇ ਚਲ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਪੈਂਡਾ ਆਗੇ ਹੋਇ ਲੇਤ ਹੈ ॥
Walk even one step towards the Feet of the Guru; And the True Guru will walk millions of steps to welcome you.
