We warmly invite you and your family to join the monthly Pindacāra (monks’ alms-round) on Saturday 5 September at the Taman O.U.G. morning market (8.30 am) and Happy Garden morning market (9.30 am).

This is a great opportunity to support the Sangha, the noble disciples of the Buddha, while cultivating generosity, mindfulness, and kindness within ourselves. By offering alms, we develop wholesome qualities that contribute to our spiritual growth and the well-being of the monastic community.

You may bring cooked food, fruits, or other suitable offerings. All are welcome.

From tonight, the eve of our Hari Kebangsaan (National Day) Malaysians at home and abroad come together to celebrate 69 years of nationhood. We owe the peace, unity and harmony we enjoy today to the sacrifices and contributions of our forefathers, patriots and generations of Malaysians who have helped shape our nation.

20TH ANNIVERSARY MEMORIAL OBSERVANCE OF VEN. K. SRI DHAMMANANDA
Monday, 31 August | 9 am – 1 pm | Nalanda Centre, Sri Serdang

We warmly invite you to join us as we commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the passing of our late spiritual adviser, Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda, honouring his remarkable life, profound teachings, and enduring Dhammadūta spirit.

The observance will include the procession of the late Ven. K. Sri Dhammananda’s robe, offerings and chanting, followed by a special forum featuring his direct students - Dato’ Seri Victor Wee, Datuk Charlie Chia, and Bro. Benny Liow.

We are also honoured to welcome Most Ven. B. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera, Ven. Siriwimala, and Ven. Dr. Santacitto on this meaningful occasion. The specially curated “Terima Kasih Dhammanda” Exhibition will also be open for visitors.

All are warmly invited to join the Sanghika Dāna at 11.30 am. Devotees may bring cooked vegetarian food or fruits for offering.

Let us come together to pay homage to a revered teacher whose tireless Dhammadūta efforts contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Buddha-Sāsana in Malaysia and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Following a joyful and meaningful Family Fun Fair last Sunday, we warmly invite all volunteers to join us at Nalanda Centre this Sunday, 23 August, for the Sunday Morning Service and Family Fun Fair Volunteer Appreciation.

Let us come together to learn the Dhamma, rejoice in the good deeds we have collectively accomplished, and express our appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, energy and care towards making the Family Fun Fair a meaningful community effort.

The service begins at 9am with meditation and chanting, followed by a Dhamma talk and the Volunteer Appreciation session.

TIPITAKA WORKSHOP WITH VEN. DR. SANTACITTO

How well do we know the Buddha's original teachings? The Tipitaka, the Pāli Canon, is the authentic record of the Buddha's Dhamma and the foundation of Buddhist learning and practice. Nalanda Institute Malaysia is pleased to offer this special three-day Tipitaka Workshop, providing participants with a systematic introduction to its history, structure, and practical significance.

Under the guidance of Ven. Dr. Santacitto, participants will explore the historical development of the Pāli Canon, gain an overview of the three collections of the Tipitaka, learn how to navigate and reference the scriptures, and discover how the Buddha's teachings can be studied and applied with greater confidence and understanding. The workshop will also include guided study of the Parābhava Sutta and Ratana Sutta, offering practical insights into the Buddha's teachings.

GEARING UP FOR THE FAMILY FUN FAIR : HARMONY IN ACTION

Over the past several weeks, Nalanda KL branch members, volunteers, and Family Dhamma School students have collaborated harmoniously to prepare for this upcoming event. From preparing pre-sale items, testing food stall menus to designing game stalls, everyone is gearing up for this highly anticipated annual event.

More than just a fun fair, our participation supports Nalanda's mission to provide holistic Buddhist education and nurture future generations. Every visit, purchase, and contribution directly funds Wisdom Park Phase 2, as well as the ongoing educational initiatives of Nalanda Dhamma School and Nalanda Free School.

We rejoice in this wholesome gathering of kalyāṇa mittā (spiritual friends), coming together to learn, serve, and contribute meaningfully toward this noble cause. Sādhu Anumodana!
