姚光贤弟兄于 1970 年蒙恩得救之后，在香港的旺角福音堂敬拜主与圣徒有良好的团契。在香港当了 23 年的小学教师，姚光贤弟兄于 1993 年受主蒙召，全职侍奉。他曾在中国各省的教会中传讲福音及证道，并参与基督徒文学的翻译工作。姚光贤弟兄和 Naomi 结婚已有 34 年，并育有 3名子女：Dorcas，Ruth，和 Joseph。自 2024 年 5 月起，他与苏文弟兄，协同JIC的何耀荣长老一起带领星期一查经班，与弟兄姊妹一同研读圣经、彼此造就。

About the speaker:
Dr David L. Allen is a renowned theologian, professor and author known for his work in preaching and theology. He is the founder of PreachingCoach, a ministry that equips pastors and leaders to preach effectively. His notable works include The Extend of the Atonement; A Historical and Critical Review and Text-Driven Preaching: God’s Word at the Heart of Every Sermon. He has taught preaching since the late 1980s and conducted 450+ workshops and conferences worldwide. He serves as Distinguished Professor of Practical Theology and Dean of the Adrian Rogers Center for Biblical Preaching at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

On 7 March 2026, JIC hosted a Community Talk, bringing together close to 150 members and friends for an evening of learning and fellowship.

The talk was delivered by YBhg Dato Professor Dr. Tan Choon Tin, who spoke on “Neurological Disorders/Diseases, Symptoms & Cures.” The session focused particularly on dementia, helping participants better understand how the brain functions and the symptoms associated with neurological conditions.

The evening began with a time of fellowship and dinner, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere before the talk commenced. Participants were also actively engaged during the Q&A session, where many thoughtful questions were raised and addressed.

It was a meaningful evening of education, community, and shared conversation, and we thank everyone who joined us.
