Last Sunday, we witnessed the installation of and prayed for the new Church Board of Bethany Church (2026-2028).

We thank God for each Board Member who has answered the call to serve His church. Let us uphold them in prayer for God’s wisdom, the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and grace and strength as they serve alongside our Senior Pastor.

May they lead with humility, serve faithfully in unity and glorify God through their service. Amen!

God’s promises for the humble are very clear. As we continue to engage in His Word, we will realise that striving for humility is not a fruitless effort. God’s Word teaches that the humble will receive peace, rest, and the opportunity to be mightily used by Him. Humility opens us up to wisdom and living in harmony with the people around us.

Corporate prayer carries a corporate anointing which manifests God’s power in a way that personal prayer cannot. Both are essential, and we should not only engage in one or the other. But we need to realise the importance of praying in unity as one body of Christ, especially in this season of prayer and fasting.

When we come together as a church in prayer, we will sense the tangible anointing of the Holy Spirit.

We spent another blessed Sunday together in God’s house worshipping, praying, hearing His Word, and growing together as a church family. 🤍

One reminder we’re carrying into the week: no one fights alone. When we pray as one, we carry one another’s burdens, strengthen each other’s faith, and seek God together.

We are more than a week into our fasting and prayer season! This week, we learn about the characteristics of a humble heart. The roots of pride sink deep into a heart that seeks not to rely on God for anything.

As we grow in our understanding of humility, let us remember to be teachable. Likewise let us strive to be discerning, for it trains our heart to listen quietly rather than talk loudly. The antidote for pride is a heart that is ready to be moulded by God.

This season of prayer and fasting is going to be especially powerful for us Bethanites. We are the Lord’s people, and we are in our Decade of Revival for one purpose: to return to Him with all our heart. Through these 40 days, let us cry out to the Lord with all our heart! May we become a humble people who pursues God’s heart above all else.

During this 40-day journey of prayer and fasting, we are dying to self so God can recalibrate our hearts.
