2nd Quarterly Ministry Update & Prayer Requests
April – June 2026
Thank you for your kind support. We are most encouraged. These past three months have been a fruitful season, especially with our ongoing mission activities, regular church visits, and weekly fellowship meetings.
* Ministry at Faith Christian Centre, Subang
Date: Sunday, 12 April 2026
Our mission team—seven visually impaired members, three sighted volunteers, and led by Rev. Wong Kheang Wook—had a blessed time ministering at Faith Christian Centre, Subang. We participated in both the English and Chinese services, leading worship, sharing testimonies, presenting one musical item, doing a scripture reading, and hearing a sermon from Rev. Wong. The service atmosphere was warm and uplifting. We enjoyed fellowship and lunch with church members after the service.
* Setapak Community Church (Chinese service)
Date: Sunday, 19 April 2026
A team of nine (seven visually impaired members and two volunteers) led worship for the Chinese service at Setapak Community Church. Two members courageously shared their testimonies and one musical presentation was given. There was no sermon that evening. The congregation was small, but the welcome and fellowship were warm. We concluded the visit by sharing dinner with the church members.
* Methodist Charis Community Care Centre
Date: Sunday, 3 May 2026
Six team members (four visually impaired and two volunteers) visited Methodist Charis Community Care Centre to lead worship and share testimonies. We also conducted a short blind-awareness session to help residents better understand the experiences of people with visual impairment. There was no sermon at this visit. The congregation consisted mainly of care-home residents, many of whom use wheelchairs, along with some children and teenagers. We shared lunch with the residents after the service and enjoyed warm fellowship with them.
* Prayer request:
1. Lewis Chen: Please remember Brother Lewis Chen in your thoughts and prayers as he faces the difficult challenge of losing his sight to glaucoma. He is currently struggling with feelings of depression, so let's pray that he is granted the strength and courage needed to adapt to this new chapter in his life.
2. Joanne Chua: Please keep Sister Joanne Chua and her four-year-old daughter, Autumn Rose, in your prayers as they settle back into life in Adelaide, Australia. Pray for a smooth adaptation, the swift processing of Autumn’s permanent residency application, and for God's provision regarding their financial needs.
3. Patricia Pang: Please uphold Sister Patricia Pang in prayer. As a dialysis patient in her 40s who has lost both her eyesight and both her legs, and may now face the amputation of both her fingers, pray that the Lord will grant her strength and peace to adapt, and continue to pray that God will give her the joy to move on in life.
4. David Gip: Please join us in praising God for His mighty hand in saving Brother David Gip, our full-time staff, who was revived ten times after his heart stopped 10 times during a recent bypass surgery. We also praise God that he has now started work after his recovery period. Let's continue to pray for his full recovery and that he will have the strength he needs for his daily duties.
With your unwavering support we are confident of greater success and fruitfulness in our ministry. We pray that the Lord will continue to release His blessing and favour on you throughout this year.
