πŸ“ΈπŸŽ₯πŸ“± G.E.M.A. Mass and Fellowship 2026

More than 80 media and communications practitioners from across the Archdiocese gathered at the Church of St. Anthony, Kuala Lumpur, for the inaugural G.E.M.A. Mass and Fellowship, held in conjunction with the 60th World Day of Social Communications.

The gathering brought together parish social communications teams, media practitioners, public relations professionals, content creators, and digital communicators for a day of prayer, fellowship, sharing, and networking.

Celebrating the Mass, Archbishop Julian Leow reminded communicators of the importance of truth, integrity, and authentic human communication in a rapidly evolving digital world. Participants were also encouraged to remain faithful witnesses of the Gospel through their service in media and communications.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity to strengthen connections, share experiences, and foster greater collaboration among those serving the Church through various communications ministries.

May we continue to communicate with wisdom, creativity, and faith as we bring Christ's message to the world. ✨

πŸ™ World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests

The priesthood is a precious gift to the Church. Through their ministry, priests proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the Sacraments, accompany the faithful through life’s joys and sorrows, and lead God’s people closer to Christ.

On the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests, celebrated annually on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the faithful are invited to unite in prayer for all priests. Let us ask the Lord to strengthen them in their vocation, renew them in holiness, and sustain them in their mission of serving God’s people.

As we gather before the Blessed Sacrament, may our prayers be a source of encouragement and support for the clergy of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur and for priests throughout the world.

Global Rosary for Peace - May 30, 2026

Heeding the Pope's call to pray for peace, parishioners and friends gathered at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima to pray the Holy Rosary for Peace.

The Church bells were rung calling all faithful to pray for the urgent need of our times.

Each Joyful Mystery was accompanied by a prayer intention. Each participant lit a candle signifying hope. πŸ•―οΈ

Spiritual Recollection for the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion – June 1, 2026

While the Catholic church prepares for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC), of our parish gathered for a Spiritual Recollection. The members spent time in Eucharistic Adoration and sitting at the feet of our Lord. Incense was burnt symbolizing the rising of prayers.

Fr. Andrew Manickam led the ministers and parishioners in praying the Rosary with Eucharistic Meditation. The solemn Litany of the Most Blessed Sacrament was prayed together.

During his homily touching on the Gospel of Mark, 12:1-12, Fr. Andrew emphasized that we must be convinced of our discipleship and that God has given us a mission. Keeping that and Jesus as our focus, any hardships, struggles, difficult seasons, etc that come our way have to be managed.

The ministers then gathered at Dewan Fatima for a short meeting, fellowship and preparation for the Eucharistic Procession.

The parish continues to pray for the EMHC, as they prayerfully administer the Body of Christ to the faithful and earnestly take it to the homebound members of our parish.

We distributed 250 packets of vegetarian meals to the pilgrims who came for the Wesak Day celebration at the Buddhist Maha Vihara in Brickfields. It was a wonderful witness of the Catholic Church's spirit of service and charity to believers of other religions.
