*A CONSTANT PURIFICATION PROCESS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7).*

I love the Word of God, because living according to what it says takes the stress out of your life. It takes the struggle out of Christianity. Think about what we just read in our opening scripture; it simply means there’s no need for you to be sin-conscious because in Christ you’re constantly purified.

All you have to do is walk in the light as He is in the light. He says as you do, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses you from all sin. It’s automatic cleansing. Notice He didn’t say you should pray for the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you from sin. He says, _*“The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin,”*_ meaning that it happens without you asking. It’s a constant purification process.

Why is this necessary? It’s because the world around us is smothered in sin and darkness. However, by walking in the light, all your errors, mistakes, and missteps that you didn't even know about are cleansed. So be sure that you’re functioning or walking in His light; His light is His Word.

Remember what Jesus said, _*“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3).*_ His Word is a cleanser; it purifies. If you’ve been born again and still find yourself praying the prayer of salvation every week, that’ll be because you’re looking at yourself under a different light that’s showing you that something is wrong.

See yourself under God’s light. His light shows that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. See yourself thus and walk accordingly. God’s light is God’s Truth, and God’s Truth is God’s Word. To walk in the light therefore means to walk in the Word of God which purifies your soul and purges your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for your grace and the power of your righteousness at work in me. As I walk in your light, I’m automatically cleansed and purified by the blood of Jesus. I’m justified by the grace of Jesus Christ, and I walk in His righteousness, free from the accusation of the evil one. Your righteousness is expressed in my thoughts, words and actions, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*DISLODGE THEM - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day (Jude 1:6).*

*‭Genesis 6:1-4* recounts how in the early days, entities described as the *"sons of God"* intermingled with humans: _*“That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” (Genesis 6:2).*_

The *"sons of God"* as used in this context were angels who had left their calling and estate, and used their bodies for evil things; they mated with humans and produced giant offsprings. Jude, by the Spirit, revealed what eventuallyhappened to these angels: _*“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (Jude 1:6).*_

God imprisoned these disobedient angels to prevent them from continuing in their wickedness. However, the offspring of these unions roamed the earth with insatiable appetites and a propensity for unrestrained evil. These physical giants built cities, and consumed vegetation at an alarming rate, such that it took a lot to sustain them.

But as they died, their spirits—which were not human spirits but demons—went to hell and punished those in hell because their legal condemnation was not yet established. And because they haven’t been permanently put in hell, they moved in and out of hell as they chose, and also ran rampage in the earth, carrying out evil activities.

Our world still contends with these spiritual free radicals today; demons that influence human affairs and perpetuate evil. But thanks be unto God; we have the authority in the Name of Jesus to dislodge and dispossess them of their hold and sway over nations and the lives of men.

Every so often, use the Name of Jesus against them and put a stop to the works of these demoniacal entities. Forbid them from influencing things in your life, in your home, in your environment, city and nation. Cast them out in the Name of Jesus! Once you do, the hearts of many in those regions will become open to receive the Gospel gladly and heed the call to salvation, and righteousness will prevail. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for the power to tread over all the abilities of the enemy. Satan and his demons have no right to run things in my life, in my home, in the lives of my loved ones, or in my nation, because I’ve been vested with all power and authority in heaven and in earth to subdue, dominate and take charge of my world. Hallelujah!*

*PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT MAKES YOU GLOW - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*Keep your eyes on the LORD! You will shine like the sun and never blush with shame (Psalm 34:5 CEV).*

Have you ever come out in the nighttime to look up at the stars? It’s such a beautiful sight to behold. But did you know that in the spirit, when you look down on the earth, the same way you see those stars up in the sky, that’s how you see stars of light in the earth? The difference is that these stars you see in the Spirit are us—God’s children.

The Bible says, _*“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15).*_ Even though we’re all stars, we glow differently. Some of us glow strongly, while others may not shine as brightly.

In *Luke 9:29,* the Bible says about Jesus, _*“And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.”*_ There’s something about prayer that affects your spirit and causes it to glow.

Others may not see the glory all over you; their eyes may not be opened to see it on your face, but as you pray in the spirit, you’re constantly transfigured from glory to glory. It’s one of the reasons we emphasize praying in tongues.

When you pray in tongues often, the glory of God is revealed in your life as you charge yourself up in the spirit and stir up the power of God inside you.

The Lord Jesus said, _*“Let your light so shine…” (Matthew 5:16).*_ This means you're responsible for making your light glow more and more. The more you pray in the spirit, the stronger your light. That’s what enables you to do the work of God effectively, and keeps you healthy and strong. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit and for giving me the ability to pray in tongues. As I pray in tongues today, I light up everywhere, glowing ever so brightly, radiating your goodness, kindness and graciousness to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*AN UNDERSTANDING OF HIS LOVE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*..that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me (John 17:23).*

God loves you so much as He loves Jesus. Has this reality dawned on your spirit? When it does, it completely transform everything about your life. Years ago, when I discovered this verse, I shouted, cried, danced, and screamed for joy!

God's love for us is beyond human description and imagination. In *Romans 5:8,* the Bible says, _*"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."*_ *John 3:16* says, _*"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."*_

Your value to God is the price He paid for your salvation, which is the blood of Jesus Christ: _*"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold...But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:18-19).*_

This should help you further appreciate the infinite magnitude and boundless nature of His love. In *Ephesians 3:17-18,* the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend the unfathomable dimensions of the Father's love.

Furthermore, in *Romans 8:32,* the Apostle Paul raised a thought- provoking question as he reflected on God's matchless love for us. He asked, _*"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"*_ In other words, why should anyone be sick, weak, poor, broke, depressed or live a down life, judging how much the Father loves us?

An understanding of our heavenly Father's love will rid your life of fear, sickness and everything associated with Satan and darkness. Matthew's account of what the Lord did as a demonstration of His love for the people lends credence to this. It says, _*"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people" (Matthew 9:35).*_ Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
*Ever-loving Father, thank you for the unfathomable and immeasurable love you've so lavished upon me. It's such a delight to know that I'm special and valuable to you. I walk in the consciousness of your
unfailing love today, and I manifest and radiate your love to my world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

*1 John 4:9-10*
*In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.*

*KEEP BEARING FRUITS - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*You did not choose me. I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit, the kind of fruit that will last. Then my Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name (John 15:16 CEV).*

Isn't it wonderful to know that the Lord Jesus chose and ordained you to produce abiding fruits: results that stand the test of time? Whatever you do is expected to succeed and *"abide."*

The Bible tells us about Joseph who was brought into the house of Potiphar as a slave. However, because the Lord was with him, everything he did prospered. When his master, Potiphar, saw this, he promptly made Joseph the overseer of his house. Potiphar recognized that Joseph was blessed to produce lasting results.

The grace of God is on your life to produce excellence in everything you do. Become conscious of this. Whatever you're required to do should be a success because you're a child of God, and you're fashioned for good works. *Ephesians 2:10* says, _*"For we are his workmanship, created Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."*_

Keep bearing fruits. Keep winning. Remain effective. Wherever you find yourself, make a difference. Joseph's excellence wasn't discovered when he became the boss; it was discovered while he was a slave. He only became the boss because of his effectiveness.

Thanks be unto God; the Spirit of God in you makes you an effective and efficient person. Read what the Bible says in _*Acts 1:8 AMPC: "But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...."*_

*Psalm 1:3* also gives a vivid description of your ever-fruitful and ever-productive life in Christ. It says, _*"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper:"*_

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for the inherent ability in me to be effective and efficient in all that I do, producing lasting and extraordinary results. You've equipped and ordained me for a fruitful and productive life. I'm effective in the ministry of reconciliation and every other area of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.*

*LIVING IN THE WORD IS FUNDAMENTAL - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).*

It's essential to recognize that not everyone in this world will fulfil their God-given purpose. In fact, many are unaware that God has a unique plan for each person born into this world. Every human being faces two destinies: a natural destiny shaped by circumstances such as birth, family, environment, etc. and a divine destiny initiated when Jesus becomes the Lord of one's life. From then on, He takes charge of your life.

The Word of God has to be the guiding light for your life. Every time you hear the Word, faith is imparted to you. Through this faith, you can please the Lord, serve Him, and accomplish anything in alignment with His will; you can fulfil the calling of God on your life.

The Bible says, _*"Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures" (James 1:18).*_ *1 Peter 1:23* says, _*"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever:"*_

As one born of the Word, living in the Word is fundamental to fulfilling your purpose. The Word fortifies your faith, guides your spirit, and serves as the nourishment for your spirit; it is your life. Praise God!

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the life-transforming power of your Word. As I receive and embrace your Word, faith is ignited and kindled within me; I'm fortified, energized and strengthened to fulfil your plans and purposes for my life. I walk in union with your Word; therefore, I'm guided in your perfect will to fulfil the purpose you have for me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

*POWER TO HEAL - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*And these signs shall follow them that believe...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18).*

Did you know that when it comes to healing the sick, we're the ones God asked to do it? He gave us power to heal. In our theme scripture, the Lord Jesus didn't say the believing ones shall pray to me to heal the sick; rather, He said, they shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall be healed.

Then in *Luke 10:9,* He was just as direct when He sent His disciples out to preach the Gospel. He said, _*"...heal the sick...and say unto them, the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."*_ Also, He told them, _*"And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:7-8).*_

Remarkably, He didn't say, *"pray for the sick";* rather, He said, *"heal the sick."* Hallelujah! In *Acts 3,* Peter exemplified this authority to heal the sick when he encountered a man who had been crippled from birth at the Temple gate. He declared, _*"...Silver and gold have I none, but such as l have give I thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk" (Acts 3:6).*_ This wasn't a plea or a prayer; Peter simply acted on the Words of the Master; He used the Name of Jesus as a powerful instrument.

In *Acts 3:16,* he further emphasized the power of the Name of Jesus when he said that faith in His Name had made the formerly lame man strong: _*"And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all."*_

One of the most beautiful things about Christianity is the blessing of using the Name of Jesus. When you speak or proclaim healing for the sick in His Name, your words are effective, producing exactly what they talk about. Even now, go ahead and make declarations in His Name about your health and that of your loved ones. Proclaim healing for many today who are sick and in hospitals. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*
* Dear Father, thank you for granting me the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus and bring healing and health to the sick. Even now, I proclaim healing for many today who are in hospitals and might have been given up to die; the handwriting of death concerning them is cancelled, and they're restored to sound health, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

*Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour]. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. 5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ancle bones received strength. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.*

*Philippians 2:9-11*
*Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; 11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.*

*THE GLORY OF THE WORD - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him (Exodus 34:29).*

Many of us acknowledge that the Word of God, as the Scriptures tell us, _*"...is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16).*_ Also, the Lord Jesus emphasized in John 15:3, _*"Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."*_ So, we understand that the Word of God does all these. That's because the Word of God is the first glory of the Kingdom. Recall the experience of Moses in the Old Testament, part of which we read in our theme verse.

He had spent forty days and forty nights with God on Mount Sinai, receiving the Ten Commandments. And because he had been in communion with God, when he came down from the mountain, his face radiated the glory of God such that everyone who saw him couldn't look at him.

There was a distinctive glory on Moses that emanated from his attentive reception of God's Word. Moses had to wear a veil to shroud the glory that had rubbed off on him *(Exodus 34:29-33).* That's the effect of deep contemplation and meditation on the Word.

It's crucial to recognize the difference in how Moses and the children of Israel perceived the Word. While the people viewed it as commandments and instructions, Moses understood God's Word as life *(Deuteronomy 32:46-47).*

In the New Testament, this same glory is now within us. When you received the Word of God into your spirit for salvation, the Word came to live in you and the glory of God's Word is now in your spirit. The best part of it is that the glory of the Word in us today outclasses what Moses had.

Ours, according to *2 Corinthians 3:7-11* (read the entire reference), is the more excellent glory: _*"...For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth; for if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious" (2 Corinthians 3:10-11).*_

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the transformative power of your Word. As I contemplate, meditate and speak the Word, the glory of the Word in my life increases with greater intensity; I walk in supernatural grace, perfection, beauty and righteousness. I'm continually metamorphosed from glory to glory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*c

*FURTHER STUDY:*
*2 Corinthians 3:7-11 NIV*
*Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!*

*BONDED TOGETHER WITH HIM - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME*

*Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:30-31).*

‭The term *"wait upon"* is translated from the Hebrew word *'qâvâh',* signifying to *"gather"* or to *"bind together"* perhaps by twisting. It's comparable to twisting ropes together to form one braided rope. Contextually, therefore, *"wait upon"* might not be the most accurate choice of words in translating what the prophet Isaiah said in that verse.

For example, when you read the creation story in *Genesis 1:9,* the same Hebrew word *'qâvâh'* is used when God commanded the water below the sky to come together in one place so that the land will appear: _*"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be GATHERED TOGETHER unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so."*_

Also, in *Jeremiah 3:17,* where the Scriptures emphasized the idea of people being united or bonded together, the same word is used: _*"At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be GATHERED unto it...."*_

So, when *Isaiah 40:31* speaks of those who _*"wait upon the LORD",*_ a more accurate understanding would be those who are *"gathered together"* or those who are *"bonded together"* with the Lord; they shall renew their strength. What does this tell us in the light of the New Testament?

The Bible says in _*1 Corinthians 6:17, "...he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit."*_ Now, you can understand why the Holy Spirit has come to live in you; you and the Holy Spirit have become one in that rich fellowship. It's a *"bonding together"* as it were.

We've been brought into oneness with divinity; it's an inseparable union. We're in Him, and He is in us. Glory to God! This is the reason we can enjoy rich fellowship with Him in prayer—praying in tongues—and be reinvigorated through and through. We've been brought into a communion, a place of relationship, a oneness of spirit. Hallelujah!

You ought to enjoy that fellowship every day; it's not something you go into and come out of, for you're in Him, and He's in you.

*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for my inseparable oneness with you, which gives me the privilege and awesome blessing of constant fellowship with you. As a result of this deep communion, I'm strengthened, energized and continually afire to serve you, live for you and fulfil your purpose for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*
