OLL ALPHA – THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

Over ten weeks (26 June - 6 Sept), more than 80 participants from two language communities came together on one journey of discovering God, building friendships and growing in faith.

From meals around the table to deeper sharing, prayer, the Weekend Away and powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit, Alpha has been a journey of grace, healing and renewal. Hearts were opened, relationships restored, and new friendships formed across language and community.

As Fr Michael Idoko shared, the Weekend Away was truly grace-filled, witnessing hearts opening to God’s mercy and the Holy Spirit renewing lives.

Fr Selva reminded us that Alpha has been a bridge — connecting people to a deeper relationship with God and giving them a sense of belonging to the family of God.

And as Fr Gregory Chan brought Alpha to a close, he reminded us that the good works that have started here should not stop here, but continue to bear fruit in the life of the parish and beyond.

Alpha may have officially ended, but the journey continues.

The seed has been planted. Now we wait, pray and work together to see it bear fruit — in our lives, in our parish and beyond.

Our priests, Fr. Gregory and Fr. Selva, will be away in Sibu from 9–13 September 2026 for the Malaysia Pastoral Convention (MPC2026).

Celebrating Mother Mary’s Birthday

This morning, we joyfully celebrated the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Grotto. The celebration began with a Rosary procession around the church, followed by Mass celebrated by Fr. Greg, Fr. Selva and Fr. Michael Iduko and animated by the Senior Citizen Ministry.

A special flower offering to Mother Mary and the fellowship afterwards made the occasion even more meaningful.
