Tonight, the Harvest 30th Anniversary Committee meets to finalise details for the celebration, including the guest list. Yet one name stands outโRev Dr Colin Hurt, who has gone home to be with the Lord. We will also reflect on how best to honour this faithful servant of God.
Without comparison to others, we can say this with certainty: Rev Colin had a profound impact on the life and growth of Harvest Christian Assembly in Klang. From its early struggling days until now, his influence helped shape who we are today. What seemed like a simple encounter in Port Dickson became a divine appointment, where a discouraged young pastor received words of encouragement that led to the formation of Harvestโs Protem Committee.
You and Julia remained steadfast with us through the years, even in the face of personal trials. Your perseverance, despite failing health, showed us what it means to be a true warrior in Christ.
Harvest owes you a debt we cannot repay. Truly, you can say as Paul did in 2 Timothy 4:7: โI have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.โ
Rest well, dear friend. We are deeply impacted by you and Julia.
With love and prayers from Harvest Christian Assembly
