The tried and trusted traditional of the Brigade has been carried down by generations for over 24 years. Today, the Company’s flag flies proudly under yet another faithful generation of servants, striving to spread God’s word through the ministry of the Brigade.
3rd Kajang Company was born in 1982. It has been growing from strength to strength ever since then. 3rd Kajang Company is under the sponsorship of LCMS 11th Mile Cheras Congregation, Kajang. The church and church’s members plays an important role in the Brigade, providing physical, financial and more importantly, spiritual support to out ministry. However, due to some reason, our company had temporary stop in 1998. Nevertheless, our God is gracious. He continued to touch the hearts of the ex-BB boys whom most have believed in Jesus Christ, to pool and make a proposal to the church. Soon on the 7th of April 2004, the Boys Brigade Malaysia 3rd Kajang Company was re-launched. We started with around 100 eager boys and girls joining this uniformed body. As a re-lauch company, we had the help Sgt. Mark Leong from 10th Kuala Lumpur to help kick-start out company. Our company runs weekly meeting on every Sunday, from 2.30pm – 5.30pm, which will include badge work, bible class, drill, games and band. During holidays there will also be time for community services and other meaningful work exposes the boys to help the society and learn more about themselves. Serving these Boys are 21 committed officers who are volunteers, sacrificing their time every Sunday for the love of nurturing these young boys and girls. One of our core programmes is the band which was formed way back in 1986. it was only a drum and bugle band. Since then out band has progressed into a Brass Band in 2006. it was a brave step forward and we have never looked back. With a membership of about 100 boys, aged from 6 to 19 years old, the Company is grateful for the support from the Church, for it is no small task. Being established for the past 24 years, we have indeed come a long way. There has been much of sweat and even tears in putting this company together with a united heart and mind and indeed praise God for such an achievement which we can see in 3rd Kajang.
马来西亚男少年军加影区第三分队(加影区第三分队)是一个充满历史和传统的分队.那经得起考验及值得信赖的传统已传递了24个年头.如今,我们分队的旗能够傲慢地飘扬是因为我们有一班忠实的仆人在努力宣传神的事工.
加影区第三分队诞生于1982年并一直的成长.加影区第三分队是在马新信义会蕉赖十一哩教会的赞助之下.教会及教会的会友在第三分队都扮演很重要的角色.他们不只给予物质及金钱上的支持,最重要的他们再这项事工上也给予精神上的支持.
然而,由于一些理由,我们的分队与1998年暂时停止这项事工.
不过,上帝的恩典够我们用.祂继续触动那些大部分已经相信耶稣基督的前任男少年军,促使他们拟一份提议给教会.很快的,在 2004 年四月第 7 日,马来西亚男少年军加影区第三分队又重新运作了.
我们一开始的时候有大约一百个热心的青少年人参与这个制服团体.对于一个重新运作的团体,我们很高兴有一位来自吉隆坡第十分队的上尉SGT. Mark Leong前来帮忙.
我们的聚会是在每逢星期日,下午两点到五点半.当中有徽章课程,圣经班,操步,游戏及乐队练习.在假日期间也将会有社区服务和其他的意义深长的工作,好让这一班的青少年人更认识自己.
服侍这一班青少年的都是有负担并义务帮忙的21位军官.他们牺牲每个星期日下午的时间,为的就是要培育这些青少年.我们其中一个核心节目就是我们的乐队.早在1986年的时候就有了,那时只有一些乐器,例如鼓和号角.之后,在2006年我们的乐队慢慢发展成铜管乐队.这是一个很大胆的尝试,而我们也不曾向后看,我们只是定睛向前看而已.
现在我们大约有100位年龄介于6至19岁的青少年参与,我们很感激教会的支持,因为这不是一项很简单的事工.
在过去的24年,我们真的觉得那是一条很漫长的道路.一路走来都不容易,有很多的汗水、泪水.而且以同心合意的同工投身于我们分队的事工.看见我们加影区第三分队的成就,我们真的要赞美我们的上帝,并把荣耀归于祂.
