禮記曰：建國君民，教學為先。通過教育，可以培育人之善心、善念、善行，糾正其偏差的觀念、錯誤的言行舉止。引導學人建立正知正見，最終導歸淨土。

蓮社將學人之修學分為四個階段：


少有所學：
蓮社設有兒童讀經班、少年團。目的在童蒙養正；少年養志，奠定品行基礎。

壯有所用：
具備良好的人品道德並導之念佛法門，讓青年們能以慈悲寬容的態度來服務大眾。

老有所依：
累積深厚的善根福德、安心地在念佛堂一心念佛求往生。

終有所歸：
