Subtle road to irreverence

Genesis 1:11-12
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

Today, we can easily get many seedless fruits in the market. It's usually pricier and it's aim is to bring convenience to customers.
It isn't a sin to eat seedless fruits but what happens is that sometimes, when something more convenient is available, our human heart naturally rejects the other and looks at it as troublesome.

However, fruits with seed is God's creation and God sees it as 'good'. The existence of seedless fruits, very subtly creates irreverence to God's creation when we reject, dislike or perceive fruits with seed as 'troublesome'.

And most of the time, it is through these little subtle situations, irreverence and eventually disobedience to God creeps into our hearts over several other situations.

The issue isn't seed or seedless fruits. It's how we open the door to irreverence through little things.

Pray, discern. Love God.

Life without Christ is so normalised that the urgency is foolishness to many.

But do not lose heart, the grace of God is sufficient for us to walk with God in this generation. Keep persevering.

Titus 2: 11-14
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

While driving back from work, I had a strong desire to pray, repent and worship. I wasn't sure exactly what to repent of but I stopped my car at the side for a while and prayed.

Psalm 139: 23-24
Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

Then I prayed over the song to play and chose a 40 min medley worship song as I had about 45 min left to drive back home.

As the song played, I worshiped and prayed in tongues. I went back and forth singing the songs and praying in tongues.

When I was just about 5mins away from home, the word "Mind" was clear and I felt the urge to pray over my mind.

As I prayed, the Holy Spirit revealed to me bit by bit how I had given the devil a stronghold over my mind and thoughts through my past sins and actions. Fantasies and imaginations that were ungodly; entertaining thoughts of anger, rage and pride; thoughts that satisfied the lust of the flesh. I said sorry for sinning.

Bonus, the Holy Spirit also thought me to pray over my daughter's mind to shut any generational bo***ge and to pray that she'll also think and meditate on what is good and pleasing to the Lord.

Then, I went back, took a bath, played with my daughter, had lunch and then went to put my daughter down for her nap. I ended up sleeping with her. Suddenly I woke up and saw a hand pull out a very long rod out of my left ear. It was very long. It was a vision but right after that experience, I can physically feel a free space in my ear, less heaviness in my eyes, clarity and joy in my heart.

This is definitely an experience led by the Holy Spirit and I'd love to share it with you.

DO NOT TURN AWAY

The Passover from the book of Exodus is well known among the Christians. The final plague was the death of all the first born of the house of the Egyptians. After this plague, pharoah allowed the Israelites to leave the land.

Christians talk about this event over and over to show how mighty God is and how gloriously He brought the Israelites out of slavery.

Through this event, we can see how amazing God is. The Egyptians' heart were so hardened that God had to allow this plague to happen so that both the Israelites and the Egyptians will understand the power of God.

If we continue reading, in Numbers, we see the journey of the Israelites out of the land of slavery. Despite all the signs and wonders, the Israelites slowly started doubting God and questioning Him about whether they will arrive the promised land.

Over time, their unbelief led them to sin and disobedience to God. Hence God said that all those above 20 will not go to the promise land. They will perish in the wilderness. All because they were not patient with the Lord.

The second part of the story, tho, known to many Christians, it is not often spoken of.

Let this be a reminder, in Egypt, only the first born were plagued to death. The Egyptians were unbelievers who refused to acknowledge the One True Living God. However, in the wilderness, an entire generation perished; All because of lukewarm believers.

Dear brothers and sisters, it is true that God has done many wonders to preserve His children but do keep in mind that when believers turn away from God, the plague is worst than the plague of the unbelievers.

Turn to God with your first love for Him. Persevere and be steadfast in love.

May the Holy Spirit always be your guide in this journey with the Lord.
