On the occasion of Maha Shiva Rathri Festival, we are expecting unprecedented footfall.
Here are some rules to be adhered
*Please treat the Priests, Pandarams, temple crew members with respect.
* Keep your valuables safe while navigating Maha Shiva Rathri prayers; reducing the risk of theft in crowded areas
* Do not wear your valuable jewellery, Chain, Thali Koddi Chain, carrying large sums of money or any valuables
* Keep mindful of people trying to push unnecessary. Beware of pickpockets. Remember, having a zipped bag doesn't mean you are safe. Thieves have been known to walk behind victims while slowly unzipping/cutting bags/gold chains
*You must dispose of the waste in the dustbins and do not litter around
*Park your vehicles in the parking zones and follow the traffic guidelines and rules
*You must co-operate with the Priests, Volunteers and other team members
*If you are suffering from some contagious diseases, then avoid mixing around with people, and avoid crowded spots.
* If you come across any unknown object or unidentified thing, then report it to the temple authorities.
*Loudspeakers will announce the messages, so listen to them and follow accordingly.
*Please remain silent during the Abhisegam and Pooja. Slow talking and discussions would distract other devotees who are participating in pooja/rituals. Please be sensitive to those around you who may be praying quietly.
*If possible, wear traditional Indian attires
Wearing shorts is not advised. We encourage women to wear traditional Indian clothes, such as saree, Punjabi suite etc in a modest way.
For safety, revealing attire which may cause any distraction to others. Men should wear shirt or jippa with long trousers or dhoti.
*No footwear is allowed inside the Temple . Please leave all footwear in the designated area.
*Avoid touching the statues even it's within your reach
*Photography and videography are prohibited during the Abhisegam and Poojai throughout the Four Kaalams. Only the temple officials (Camera man) allowed to do so
*We encourage everyone to chant Om Nama Shivaya, Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, etc and immerse yourself in the divine vibrations of Sri Ramalingeswarar Swamy.
