in traditional anniversary treasures, the 12th year is symbolized by silk and linen. silk represents refinement, while linen symbolizes durability.

the Ipoh church is honoured to have Burt speak to us on our anniversary. and as a celebratory effort, the church:
- watched a video commemorating our appreciation to the founding mission team members (past),
- constantly keeping up intimate relationships with old friends and new visitors who have been a part of our establishment (present),
- and a meaningful session of writing down our favorite scriptures to patchwork it into a quilt work, building the continuous effort to strengthen our community (future).

For the past couple of weeks, we have been talking about the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

The fruit of the Spirit are some of God’s characteristics.

They grow in us when we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

When God's people are "led by the Spirit of God," that Spirit produces wonderful and abundant fruit.

Today, we are going to talk about peace.

ISAIAH 53:1-3
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

Have you believed the message of Christ that He, the epitome of humility, came from heaven to earth and lived a humbled life for the sole purpose of our salvation through His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave?

As we mediate on Isaiah 53 this week towards Easter Sunday, may we be enlightened and come to know Him deeper.
