八條路網寮 顯明壇

八條路網寮 顯明壇 His official Taoist name is "Marshal of the Central Altar" (中壇元帥). He was then given the title "Third Lotus Prince" (蓮花三太子) after he became a deity.

中坛元帅俗称太子爷，谓系哪吒太子。相传系玉皇殿前五营神将之中营元帅也。谓因玉皇上帝为镇压人间邪魔，敕其降生为李靖之三子，名李哪吒。身长六 丈，常能 变化为三头九目六臂，头戴金环，口吐青云，足踏火轮，身佩飞带，神力广大，能腾云驾雾，招风降雨，以摄伏邪魔。台省人民祀奉甚隆，称为中坛元帅，或尊为太 子爷 也，又据宋高僧道宣传云:「道宣持律精苦，尝夜行道临阶坠，忽有一人捧承其足曰：某非常人，乃毗沙门天王太子哪吒也。以护法之故，拥护和尚， 时已久矣」。按此谓哪吒乃为毗沙门王太子，系佛教之护法神也。又据夷坚志载程法师事云：「值黑物如锤，从林间直出，知为石精，遂持哪吒咒，俄而见火毯自身 出，与黑物相击」。此则以道家法师持佛家哪吒咒而有验，故谓哪吒太子为佛教而兼道教之神也。
