东贡岸堂是兵南邦堂的植堂。兵南邦堂於1990年10 月开始在东贡岸堂租用余玉容姐妹住家楼下作为临时宣道 所，开设主日学事工，并於同年10月11日举行临时宣道所启用礼。由於东贡岸地区具有发展潜能，新村建立，人口陆续增加，因此教会亦有了发展的机会，鉴於临时宣道所过於窄小，不适合主日崇拜，在上帝的预备之下，1992年5月开始，主日学事工由於临时宣道所搬迁至Lot 1, Grand Industrial Center, Mile 5½ Jalan Penampang更於同年7月5日开始了主日崇拜。基於上帝的恩典，人数的增加，团契的成立，事工的需要，建堂成了当前的急务。1994年1月1日召开建堂委员会之首次会议。东贡岸堂则於1996年1月7日正式成立。

1996年8月在上帝的赐福带领下我们买下现今位於Taman Manis 1.73英亩之地。2001年12月16日举行建堂动土礼，由邬天辉会督主持。新圣堂於2002年12月之圣诞节落成启用，则於2003年9月28日举行开幕典礼。
