☀️ ☀️Dear Lighthouse family,

Today (14/3/26) we warmly welcome our beloved Pastor Petrik and his wife, Ellen, to Lighthouse.

We thank God for bringing them to us in His perfect timing, and we believe He has wonderful things in store for our church through their leadership and ministry.

It is also a special joy that Pastor Petrik is the primary school classmate of our Head Elder, Dr Chew, is especially happy to receive his old classmate to serve and lead the church forward together.

Let us open our hearts to receive them with love, prayer, and unity as they begin this new journey with our church family.

Church, please join me in giving Pastor Petrik and Ellen a warm Lighthouse welcome.

🌾 Harvest 2025 — Baptism Service, November 29, 2025

This year’s Harvest celebration is especially meaningful as we witness lives responding to God’s call. On November 29, we will rejoice together as several precious candidates publicly commit their lives to Jesus through baptism.

Baptism Candidates
- 3 students from the academy
- 1 long-lost friend who has found his way back to God
- 1 teacher from the academy

Each story represents God’s grace at work — planting seeds, nurturing faith, and bringing a beautiful harvest in His time. Please keep each candidate in prayer as they take this important step of faith.

🌊 Baptism Highlight | the Lighthouse Penang
September 6 marked a beautiful milestone for our church family as Kim, Ric, Kan, Theint, Kelly, Ken, Patrick, and Jen publicly declared their faith through baptism.

At the serene Volcanic Rock Pool of Lost Paradise Resort, each candidate stood as a testimony of grace—
Acknowledging the Father God,
Believing in the Son, Jesus Christ,
Committing their lives to the Holy Spirit.

It was a sacred moment of joy, renewal, and belonging—reminding us that in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

🙌 Let’s continue to walk alongside our newly baptized brothers and sisters as they grow deeper in their faith journey.

✨ Travel with Faith – World Adventurer Day 2025 ✨
The Lighthouse Church – August 23, 2025

Today, our church family came together to celebrate World Adventurer Day 2025 under the theme “Travel with Faith.” It was a joyful occasion filled with the presence and participation of parents, who lovingly took on the role of instructors to guide their children in faith.

The Adventurers, dressed neatly in their uniforms, led the congregation in a special way. They sang THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE, a heartfelt song, recited the Adventurer Pledge and Law, and reminded us of the beauty of growing up with Christ at the center of their lives.

What a blessing it was to witness our young ones growing in the way the Lord desires, supported by their families and church community. Truly, when we travel with faith, we are never alone—God leads every step of the way. 🌟

In a recent session led by Pastor Lim, young people were equipped with practical money management mindsets and skillsets. From learning to save wisely, budget responsibly, and differentiate between needs and wants, the message was clear: stewardship begins with the heart.

One profound reminder stood out:

“Don’t just ask for a higher salary—ask, What value am I contributing to deserve it?”

This shift in mindset moved many to reflect deeper on their financial goals and work ethic.

From the misty mornings to Spirit-filled nights, our time at Highland Christian Center was nothing short of divine. Over three unforgettable days, our church family came together—not just to retreat, but to realign with the heart of God and rediscover the calling of an apostolic community.

Here’s how the culture of Christ was made real among us:

🙌 Worship – Encountering the Holy Spirit
Every worship session was saturated with God’s presence. As we lifted our voices, the Holy Spirit moved, touching hearts and bringing fresh surrender, healing, and joy. It was more than songs—it was holy ground.

📖 Word of God – Anchored in Truth
From engaging Bible studies to practical teachings, the Word was central to our camp. God’s truth challenged us to grow deeper and live out our apostolic calling with purpose and clarity.

🤝 Warmth – Fellowship That Reflects Heaven
The highlight for many was our Cultural Night, where we joyfully celebrated Gawai and Keamatan together as one family in Christ. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, we shared laughter, music, and dances—reminding us that unity in diversity is a beautiful part of God’s design. This warmth went beyond the night; it was felt in every prayer, every shared meal, and every heartfelt connection.

💥 Works – Standing in Awe of God
Throughout the camp, testimonies and divine moments reminded us of God’s active presence. Whether in quiet reflections or bold faith declarations, we saw His hand at work—building, healing, and transforming.
