Batu Caves’ Hidden Gem: The Often Overlooked Bat Cave

At the top of Batu Caves, there’s a separate Bat Cave attraction that requires an additional ticket. Admission is RM10 for adults and RM5 for children. I didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Inside, you’ll find a variety of animals, including giant spiders larger than an adult’s palm, pythons, and many other fascinating creatures that are rarely seen. Unlike a typical zoo, the cave is quiet and uncrowded, making the experience much more enjoyable. There are even live presentations and educational shows.

For those seeking a deeper adventure, the Cave Villa exploration tour costs RM15 and has strict visitor limits. The cave is never crowded, allowing you to take your time observing the unique ecosystem. Deep inside, the cave ceiling rises nearly 100 meters high, and countless bats can be seen hanging overhead.

A hidden attraction that is definitely worth visiting when you’re at Batu Caves.
