𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 :
On Friday, 10th July 2026, the Penang Diocese Prison Ministry organizing team indeed came to the 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭.𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥, 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫 for their Evangelization and Recruitment Drive.It was a meaningful occasion,the ministry’s mission is to “Be the Light. Bring Hope.” by reaching hearts behind bars with Christ’s love.
The event took place immediately after morning Mass at the Catholic Center, with fellowship over breakfast, and an invitation for parishioners to listen, discern, and serve.Moments like this highlight the Church’s commitment to living out Matthew 25:36: “I was in prison and you came to visit me.” It’s not just about recruitment, but about awakening compassion and encouraging people to walk alongside the incarcerated in faith and accompaniment.

Last Friday, 26 June 2026, our Tamil Apostolate, Church of St Michael, Alor Setar joyfully celebrated its 50th Golden Jubilee.
The celebration began with a blessed Tamil Mass at 6:00pm, followed by a memorable Golden Jubilee celebration filled with faith, gratitude, fellowship, and joy.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our former and present Tamil Apostolate leaders, priests, volunteers, parishioners, benefactors, invited guests, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this historic celebration a great success. Your dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering support have been the foundation of our journey over the past 50 years.
Together, we give thanks to God for His countless blessings and pray that He will continue to guide and strengthen our Tamil Apostolate for many more years of faithful service.
