UUFSMA will honor World Water Day by exploring a simple idea with big implications: safe water isn’t just a technical challenge — it’s a community challenge with critical personal impact.

This week, we are fortunate to welcome back a familiar face and an inspiring speaker, Dylan Terrell, Founder and Executive Director of . Through stories from rural communities, Dylan will explore how residents have responded not as passive recipients of aid, but as partners and decision-makers.

Right now—in the U.S. and elsewhere—history is not just something we study. It has become a source of contention. Who gets to tell the story? What gets left out? And what
happens when the past is edited to fit the current political agenda? This Sunday, our Minister, the Rev. Tom Rosiello, will explore why we need the whole story—the proud chapters and the painful ones—and what it means, as people of faith, to resist the urge to look away.

This Sunday, we are so fortunate to be joined by two incredible women from our own community, Paola Turandot and Carla Espinoza. They’ll be sharing a heartfelt reflection on the courage of women throughout history and the collective power of those who raised their voices to shape the rights we hold today. It’s a beautiful opportunity to honor their insight and the journey we’ve all shared

This week we gather not just to celebrate, but to re-commit: to remember, to honor, and to continue. Join us in-person or online this Sunday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome!

This week, we’ll hear a heartfelt excerpt from “Finding Inner Peace” by Ted Englander, shared by his partner, Lauren Osornio.

If you’re carrying worry, grief, anger, or a restless mind, this brief reflection offers a compassionate invitation: pause, get quiet, notice what you’re clinging to, and see if there’s another doorway to peace—right here, right now. And continue the search with a Walking Labyrinth or seated meditation.

Unitarian Universalists have nurtured the spiritual lives of children and youth for more than 200 years.  On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the UUFSMA will celebrate this rich tradition—honoring its origins, its evolution, and why it still matters to families today. The service will also offer a window into our own religious education program, Young Explorers, which serves children and youth ages 5 to 15. In Young Explorers, kids ask big questions, build friendships, explore our UU values, and learn what it means to be part of a caring community.

Join us on February 22, at 10:30 a.m. In-person and online services are available! If you need more info, please visit the link in our bio or send us a direct message.

Many of us are living through days that feel deeply unsettling. For some, these are shocking, even shameful, times – times we never thought we’d see. It is no wonder so many of us are asking, “What can I do?” In this service, Rev. Rosiello will share his reflections on what “the something” might be and how we can respond to real-world challenges while also caring for ourselves and our neighbors. Our children—our hope for the future—will be there to begin our service, and we will share a bilingual version of The Starfish Story, adapted from The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley.

Behind every gift, grant application, and number is a human story. Children, women, families, and migrants remind us why our UU commitment to justice, equity, and compassion matters – not as an idea, but as a daily practice.
In this week’s service, the SJF team will spotlight two remarkable partners: and ABBA House.

As winter gives way to spring, San Miguel comes alive with flowers as the community celebrates Candelaria, a holiday with both Catholic and indigenous roots. In the same spirit, Unitarian Universalists celebrate a unique and cherished tradition, the Flower Communion. Created in Prague more than 100 years ago—now celebrated by UU congregations worldwide—the Flower Communion invites us to notice the beauty in difference and to remember that community is made stronger when everyone belongs.

Come join us to celebrate diversity, this Sunday at 10:30 am. In-person and online services are available. If you need more information, please send us a message.

For some, prayer is a way of asking God to intervene in their lives. For others, it is something closer to reflection. And for still others, prayer is the experience of connection—to one another, and to the source of love at the heart of our faith.
Do you pray? Could some form of prayer be a meaningful practice in your life—whether you call it prayer or not? This week, our minister, The Rev. Tom Rosiello, will lead us in this exploration.

All are invited! 🙌🏻
Join us this week as UUFSMA member Marco Vangelisti traces his journey from harsh religious dogma toward an experiential search for spiritual meaning. Moving from alpine forests and rigid religion to meditation halls and open-hearted communities, Marco shares a story of letting go of certainty and discovering belonging not in answers but in shared curiosity, covenant, and ethical care.

Our service begins at 10:30 am, in-person and online services are available! If you need more info, please send us a direct message or visit the link in our bio.
