Mita Kids Saturday 23

We had a good turn out on Saturday even though temperatures are rising.
The program introduced some new songs that the kids had requested and there was much dance and instrumental involvement and enthusiasm. Our young tech guy did a great job at running the computer music, sound and projector work under Zoe’s guidance. Beti’s lesson was from Exodus 2:11-22 and Jeremiah 29:10 sometimes we want to separate ourselves from everybody because we are afraid to be discovered or because we worry about what people think about us, but God, always is waiting for us to be restored so we can fulfill His plan and will for our lives. The process might take a long time, as He equips us to be ready to serve Him.
The meal today was chicken pasta salad with grapes and watermelon for dessert. The children kept returning for the watermelon and grapes.
Today was activities day, the children enjoyed a number of games, drawing, puzzles and of course the play area.

Saturday program was a fun filled day. Children interacted with the Bible study about the blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin. Breakfast was a favorite, yogurt, granola and sliced bananas. The children made Mother’s Day cards and took invitations home, inviting moms to join us on Saturday 9th for a mother’s breakfast celebration. We so look forward to the children serving breakfast to their moms and presenting them with a little gift.

A few of the team were invited to one of our regulars birthday celebration. What a wonderful time we had celebrating his Psalm 139 day. A teen at last and graduating from primary this year.
We pray the Lord would prosper you in every area of growth and focus as you move to Secondary school in September.

Children’s Day Report – Punta de Mita Kids & Comunidad

What a wonderful success! Praise God!

We had over 100 children join us for Children’s Day at our Punta de Mita missions in Mexico, and it was an absolutely amazing day. The kids enjoyed, snacks, food, gifts, prizes, a jumping castle, fishing prize tent, numerous activities, arts and crafts, balloon animals, face painting and most importantly wonderful talks by Luis Davalos, a teacher with 47 years of experience and wife and teacher Rosario Davalo, talented musicians Victor Rivas .vega and Zoe Wood Zoewoodguitarra, Paty Corona of Bloom Florist , Jesus Sagahon Garcia of Mita Bikes, Marilu of ‘Best Friends Furrever’ pet grooming services and Polo and William from La Cruz firefighters, and local Artist Iliana Argote of Arte participating in our Careers program, encouraging children to focus, to finish school with diplomas in hand, which will open up diverse opportunities in the world of employment in the future. A huge thank you to our participants.
A big shout out to all the helpers and volunteers who made this event possible. From the team prayer for the day going forward, the setup, monitoring of games and activities, prize handouts, to food distribution and cleanup. Your hearts and hands made this day run so smoothly. It was a huge success because of you.

Thank you to the whole team. It just gets better and better every year, and we are so grateful for the unity and joy you bring in celebrating this special yearly event with the children in the Punta de Mita community.

Happy Celebration Kids Day!🙏🙏🙏🙏

What a joy it is to set aside a day to honor the children God has placed in our lives. Each child is a precious gift from the Lord, made in His image, full of purpose, laughter, and hope for the future.❤️❤️🙏🙏

To the amazing team helping today: Thank you so much for your hearts, your time, and your energy. You’re making a difference that these kids will remember for years. Your kindness, patience, and love reflect Christ so beautifully. May the Lord bless you richly for serving His little ones — you are planting seeds that will grow for eternity.

To all the kids and families: May today be filled with joy, smiles, and sweet memories. You are deeply loved by God and by all of us. We pray the Lord blesses your homes with peace, health, and unity. May your families grow stronger together, and may each child know how special and valuable they are.

Special blessings to the Mita kids as they partake today: May the Lord meet you right where you are. We pray for fun, safety, and hearts open to His love as you enjoy this day. May you feel seen, celebrated, and covered in prayer. You are treasures in God’s kingdom.

Saturday April 18th
Spring is in the air and the heat is starting to raise the daily temperatures. We are grateful for this covered space, that gives us shade and protection against the elements.
We welcomed Beti back from her vacation, the children were so excited to see her. She felt so blessed.
Beti opened in Prayer and instruments were handed out for our action songs. Our young tech guy took control of the computer and projector, remembering everything he has learned over the past few weeks, so invested in his responsibility, but still joining in the action part of the songs from his seat, we are very proud of him.
Beti had a pre prepared lesson on the overhead which we all sat and listened to, including Beti. It was about the promised Holy Spirit arriving as flames of fire above the disciples heads. 3000 people being saved on that day. Praise the Lord.
Prayer was said for the breakfast which was fajitas, with pico de gallo and grated cheese on top. Bananas the fruit of the day.
This Saturday was April Birthday shout out. Each child receiving their own little cake and birthday songs sung for them.
Saturday was activities day, where children were able to choose from a variety of games, puzzles, cards, colouring books, brain teasers and or other games involving soccer, tennis, basket and throw balls.
Much fun was had by all as they interacted with one another and also volunteers joining in.
Thank you to all our volunteers. Sephanna and Leah, from Cambodia, thanks for visiting and helping with our program. Please come visit with us again.
This coming Saturday 25th is Dia Del Ninos. (Children’s day in Mexico). We have many activities lined up with prizes and tokens, along with career tables where children will be encouraged by various career people to follow their dreams, getting their Diplomas by focusing on school and finishing with many opportunities for their futures.
We will hand out flyers at the schools on Thursday.

Saturday 11th April.
We started out the day with our usual home breakfast and before mission prayer.
Victor was very taken with the new member of the family “ Bebe.” who is now enjoying a very comfortable and blessed life.
We arrived at mission this morning to a wonderful surprise. A brightly painted wall.
It was suggested by Diana that we see if the climbing and hanging bars can be repaired as they are very dangerous, the bars have holes that are rusty. We will update the progress after meeting with the Foundation.
We set up all the equipment for sound and visuals and ran through some pointers with one of our regular boys, who Deborah was schooling last week. He was very attentive and didn’t leave his post. A great help for us as he played paused and with some tutoring was able to get the lesson video on USB to play. What a blessing.
We were also blessed by Sophanna and Leah who are visiting from Cambodia.
Sophanna opened the program in prayer and thanksgiving for the coming breakfast and some encouraging evangelism to boot. We went from there into the music program and then Beti’s video lesson presentation on the ascension of Christ. He has gone to prepare a place for us and promised to send the Holy Spirit. The presence of God in us. Our helper, comforter and guide.
Sophanna took some photos and videos of the days events. Thank you so very much.
The breakfast, was the ever popular Molletes ( beans on a bun) accompanied, with cheese, pico de gallo (chopped onion, tomatoes, garlic, lime juice and cilantro.) and cream.
We had a couple who attend regularly, come and help serve the children. Wonderful when our regulars feel comfortable enough to join in volunteering their time for the benefit of the kids. Some of the children had thirds, along with fruit of the day, which was bananas.
The music program ensued and there were two groups formed for harmonies of a very popular Spanish Christian song. The kids are really getting more confident, which is a joy to their teachers and the rest of the team. Our young computer protégé played, paused, and replayed the song flawlessly on instruction. We are very happy with his enthusiasm to serve.
Some of the other children opted for the craft with donated foam Easter egg cutouts that they could decorate with felt pens and gems. Over all a very good day. We don’t know what we might see next week with regards painting of the building. Prayerfully the whole building will be painted in beautiful bright colours.
