🇲🇽🚀 MEXICO REACHES THE TOP OF THE WORLD WITH A CHAMPION RESCUE ROBOT! 🌎🏆
Mexico's next generation of innovators has achieved an incredible international triumph! A talented team of seven students from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) claimed the world championship at **RoboCup 2026** in South Korea, outperforming some of the world's leading robotics teams, including competitors from Germany and China.
Following ten months of dedication, innovation, and countless hours of development, **Edaly, Miguel, Jorge, Leonardo, Guillermo, Miranda, and Tabata** captured first place in the **Rescue Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge** with their groundbreaking robot, **Natrix**. Their victory showcased Mexico's growing strength in science, engineering, and advanced technology.
Designed for disaster-response missions, the 4.5-kilogram robot was produced using 3D printing and environmentally friendly biodegradable plastics. Natrix impressed judges with its advanced mobility system, allowing it to climb stairs, overcome debris, and navigate difficult terrain with precision. Guided by a human operator through onboard cameras, the robot successfully completed demanding rescue courses within strict time limits.
Miranda Estéves Chávez, the team's mentor and a Biomedical Engineering student, praised both the robot's innovative design and the operator's outstanding skills, noting that precision, teamwork, and technical excellence were the keys to their world-class performance.
This remarkable victory proves that Mexican students are not only competing on the global stage—they are leading it. Their achievement is an inspiration for future generations of scientists, engineers, and innovators across the country.
