It started with a pothole 250 miles from home. The bracket that the shock mounts to broke off from the impact. We eventually wobbled our way home without further incident. Francisco, a brother from the church we attend in our village, put everything back in it's place. And just in time! We will be using the car to travel to the Isthmus next week for a pastor's conference. Please pray for our team and the pastors who will be attending, that God would bless His people.

We here at FFJ want to encourage you. We trust in our God and are praying with thousands of other followers of Jesus for our country and beyond our borders. He knows and He cares. He knows who you are and you are free to call upon the name of Jesus. He knows your heart. This too will pass. We don't know all the people who may see this but whoever you are, though nameless to us, you are in our prayers. God knows your name.

Last church visit... the trips into the mountains are lengthy but it is so worth it as we are always welcomed everywhere we go.

Village: Yutatio
Pastor: Miguel (Chino)
Church: Iglesia Del Nazareno

We were up at 4:15 AM. We picked up Glenn, got ice, coffee (Garett) and left Tule in the dark for Tamazlapan. Arriving at Nico’s around 8 AM we picked up a little extra gear along with Nico and Nehemias and headed for Yutatio, a village in the mountains one and a half hours north of Tamazlapan. We arrived in Yutatio right on time for the service but the ladies had prepared food for us and they wouldn’t let us say no.

The service went well, Nehemias and his mariachi music was a hit as usual. I gave a testimony of how and why we are here in Oaxaca. Then Glenn gave an explosive message that rocked the building and at the same time touched their hearts. I finished with a call for those who needed healing. To our surprise everyone stood and came forward for prayer.

Later as we were leaving a big lady came and said, “We have cooked a chicken dinner for you all.” (we just ate before meeting) I thanked her and gave every excuse I could think of. After I had declined five times she said but if you don’t eat what we have prepared it will break my heart. OK LET’S EAT!!!

After eating there was wonderful dinner. Garett, Glenn and I went into the kitchen where all the ladies were still working. I said you know there is a story in the Bible about you. Everyone was listening. I told her the story of the persistent lady who wouldn’t take no for an answer and God commended her for it. All the ladies cheered as I kissed the persistent one on the forehead.

With all the people coming forward at once it was impossible to record every prayer. But here are a few that were recorded.

Joe:
Judith, lady, about 35. Prayer for kidney stones/pain in spine. All pain in spine gone. Praise the Lord!

Micaela, Older lady, pain foot, ankle, stomach, head. She had pain in all these areas before prayer. After prayer all pain completely gone. Praise God!

Ruby, ever since having her baby 8 mo. ago she had a pain in her lungs. Especially when it was cold. As I prayed tears started streaming down her face. We knew the answer before we asked.......all pain gone. She was healed. Praise the Lord!

Glenn:
Young man back pain. Prayed....completely healed. Praise God!
Lady 65+ knee & back pain. Prayed…….healed. Praise God!
Lady 55+.shoulder pain. Prayed…….healed. Praise God!

What a great team God put together this year….

Because of Jesus. Joe and Marian

Tule is a town that is a Mexican tourist site because of a nearly 2,000 year old tree. Marian took this photo, as an artist, to paint the trunk of the tree. It is the largest tree in the world in circumference. In second place is one of the Sequoiia redwoods in California. The painting posted is Marian's interpretive view of the tree from a spiritual perspective. Imagine the body of Believers in Jesus standing together; strong against all sorts of challenges and persecution for 2,000 years and still raising their hands to the Father in heaven in praise for His everlasting love and goodness. the Bible says that God inhabits the praise and worship of His people. I like to think that His glory and blessing falls on us when we are united in one accord like gold dust. Just sayin'...
